Make sure your name, the year, the quarter, and the period numbers are all written on your pass.
To activate your pass, quietly present the pass to the teacher by raising it in the air.
Once your pass has been signed, use your Chromebook or the 5-Star app on your phone to start the pass.
Bring this document with you as your physical pass. Remember, there is an 8-minute limit.
Check back in using the 5-star app on your phone/Chromebook.
If you exceed the time limit, you will lose a second pass. Any remaining passes can be submitted at the end of the semester as extra credit
Check Google Classroom for the daily assignments. Complete what you can.
For parts that you were not able to finish (e.g., lectures, groupwork, exams, video notes), talk to Mr. To specifically about the parts that you need. (e.g., "Is there something I can do to make up the video assignment that I missed yesterday") Please speak with Mr. To early in the passing period, immediately after class, or after school.
You have until the end of the semester to complete absent assignments for full credit, but I recommend that you complete missing work before the next unit exam.
Make sure you mark "ABSENT" with the date of your absence in the PRIVATE COMMENTS of the Google Classroom assignment.
"Absent" assignments are scored periodically, so do not expect to see your score change immediately.
Talk to Mr. To in-person.
Set up an appointment to make up the quiz or test.
All makeup quizzes or exams will occur after school.
The total score for your assignment will be reduced by 50% (e.g., if you scored 16/20 on a late assignment, you will receive 8/20)
"Late" assignments are scored periodically, so do not expect to see your score change immediately.
Resubmit the assignment with a private comment stating your case.
The resubmissions will be rescored when "late" and "absent" assignments are scored. This is done periodically, so do not expect to see your score change immediately.
Your Google Classroom grade is accurate, whereas your Synergy grade is a general estimate. Synergy does not sync well with Google Classroom. Mr. To will rarely alter the Synergy grade to match the Google Classroom grade. He would rather use his time scoring your assignments than go through the mundane task of fixing Synergy.
Individual (non-group) assignments must be turned-in/submitted to be graded. Mr. To will not grade these assignments so that he can distinguish between late assignments and assignments turned in on time. Please make sure you have submitted the assignment in Google Classroom.
