Victory Special was the first miniature train to operate at Waldameer. It initially opened with an unknown name in 1924. It was renamed to Victory Special during World War II in support of the war effort. It was relocated in some manner in order to allow for the addition of Comet. Its original station was next to the 1905 carousel.
At least three trains seem to have operated on the ride's tracks throughout its life. The first was built by Dayton Fun House Company, and one installed in 1947 was built by National Amusement Devices. It was powered by a Chevy car engine.

I think the train is visible behind these folks. Can't tell which train it is, sadly.
