Skyview Ferris Wheel was the first Ferris wheel to operate at Waldameer. It opened in 1944 following easing of World War II restrictions alongside Flying Scooter, Whip, and Tumble Bug. It was much smaller than the one which operates today. In the late 1950s, during an attempt to relocate the ride within the park, it fell from the crane it was suspended by, and was destroyed. It stood approximately where the Gift House is currently located.
