A toboggan slide operated on Waldameer's former beaches in its earliest days, allowing riders to sit on a platform with rollers and slide directly down into Lake Erie. Its exact date of removal is unknown, but it is most likely it was removed either around 1937 or 1946, as these were the years during which the two biggest winter storms did the most damage to the beach.
