Whirlwind opened in 2020, a bit more delayed than what was originally planned due to the pandemic. It is a small spinning kiddie coaster which general circles the track several times in one ride cycle. It replaced the Showtime Theater attraction next to the large concession stand across from the Whacky Shack. It is notably the only roller coaster at Waldameer to not feature a lift chain, instead utilizing booster wheels to lift the train.
The train consists of four four-passenger cars, and riders are restrained by a lap bar.
