Liquid Lightning

Liquid Lightning initially opened in 1992 as Midnight Plunge, named after its black color scheme. It is part of the Awesome Tower slide complex alongside Awesome Twosome and Cannon Bowl. After the 2013 season, it was renamed to Liquid Lightning, in honor of the original third slide that was never built on the tower. It was also repainted yellow. The slide is completely dark until the final drop, which is exposed to the sunlight. It empties into a 42-inch deep splash pool.

The entrance to the ride's tower can be found across the bridge to the southern half of Water World, across from the far end of the Wave Pool.
