On the far right where it says Games, click on "Note Name Memory," then click on notes on the staff, and then click on Level 2. Click on the cards to create matches between notes on the musical staff and their letter names.

This week - check out the Incredibox website! If you go to incredibox.com, you can create some really cool beats and layer them together to make your own songs! Click on try web version. Then, click on one of the faces. Next, click the play arrow. After that, click and drag different clothing items onto the musicians. Take your time and listen to how each item you add changes your song. If you don't like something that you've added, just click on the X.
This song is listed under fourth grade. On the left, under song list, scroll down to song #18. It's called "Cheki Morena" This is a folk song from Puerto Rico. Dancing is a big part of their culture and this song is often danced to.
Listen to this folk song from Puerto Rico. First - play the highlights video. It will teach you the song step by step slowly. Listen for the pronunciation of the Spanish words and then try singing it on solfege syllables.
Next, watch the video and see if you can sing along.
Between the singing parts, there are pages for improvisation. When you see these pages, create your own rhythm patterns. You can use body percussion or find something at your house to make a beat with. Be creative!
