On the top left, click on vocal warm ups.
First, click on the "Slide Whistle" #3. Then, make your voice match the "Vocal Exploration Cards" #4. If you want to, you can even print these out and teach them to someone at your house!
Next, on the top, to the right of Vocalise, click on Warm Ups. You can try any of them that look good to you. My favorites are "Doo Bee Doo," "Ha Ha," "Let's All Sing," and "Zing Zing."
I found some fun choral warmups in each of the grade levels. Click on fourth grade on the top. Then, on the left where it says Song List, scroll down until you get to #29 - "Scale Round." Press play on the movie. Learn the song and then see if you can sing it as the other parts join you. Try singing it in a round with someone at your house. I hope we can sing this one together when we return to school!
Still on the fourth grade page, scroll down to song #35 - "My Bonnie." Sing along with the song. Then, for a challenge, sit down or stand up every time you sing a word that starts with the letter "B." This would be fun to sing with your family. Maybe they even know this familiar song!
Again, on the fourth grade page, scroll down to song #81 - "J'entends le moulin." Listen to this one. Do you recognize this song in French?
Click on the link above for a recording of "I Hear the Windmill." Be sure to click on the speaker icon next to 2 part. Sing along on your part. Can you memorize this one this week? Give it your best try!
Click on the link above for a recording of "Hakuna Matata." Go to the second song down and be sure to click on the speaker icon next to 2 part mixed. Try to memorize this one too.
Here's a recording of a middle school choir singing "Hakuna Matata." What do you think of it? Email me and let me know! oldfielda@victorschools.org
