• This week is our last official assignment of the school year, yay! WE did it!!! :D We'll just be working through some fun music, so take a look below for some new tunes!

• This week you can participate in the "Gear up for summer" photo challenge Get dressed up in your best summer outfit practice your instrument! Have someone take a picture and send it to me via email to share the fun! Songs for each group are listed below. Practice, record and submit them on EEI for feedback.

***When submitting tracks through EEi, please do not include the backing track. It makes it hard to hear your beautiful playing! :) If you want to have something to help you keep a steady beat, you may use the metronome or just your foot!***

Have fun playing your instrument! Make up your own song, play for your family, teach yourself a new song, but be sure you play often!

*I also added a link on the band page to a site with tons of free "fun" music. Explore that and find some music you are interested in learning.

• • This week is “School Spirit, Rock the Vote photo challenge” week. Dress up in all your Victor Blue and Gold gear, make a sign or go practice next to one posted in your neighborhood or out in public where the community members can see you (in a socially distant and safe manner of course!) and encourage your community to Vote for our schools and music programs while you rock out on your instrument! Have someone take a picture and send it in to me through email. Be careful with your instrument, be creative and have fun! Pictures will be posted on our band page to share the fun with your bandmates!

  • In addition to the photo challenge, you should review all scales on your scales sheet, have fun playing the supplemental songs that have been posted, catch-up on any missing/incomplete work that has been assigned and submit your assessment song and scales as noted here:

• RECRUITMENT ASSIGNMENT!!! - send to marinid@victorschools.org

  • Thank you to all students who have already submitted something! I'm loving your enthusiasm and creativity!

• This week, I would like all groups to work on the Recruitment Assignment, if you have not already submitted something for it. This can be in the form of a written emailed response, an audio file, or a video.

• Instructions can be found at the top of this page.

• I have left last week's assignment up so that you may also catch up if you have not submitted an assignment yet.

• If you have already submitted something for the "Recruitment Assignment" and have done your group's assignment from last week, then you may work on fun music at the bottom of this page and submit a recording of that.

All groups should work on the "Video Assignment for All Intermediate Musicians" that all of our musicians are encouraged to participate in. The music department is creating a few videos to share with our community to show how awesome the Victor Music Programs are and also to help with our 3rd Grade Recruitment, as things are going to have to be done a little differently this year. We need your help! Read the project details below and get in on the fun in a way you feel most comfortable. There are several ways you can join in. This will be part of your assignment for the next 3 weeks (Due May 15th), so take your time, be creative and please join in on the fun!
