On Wednesday we will celebrate concert day by viewing all of the submissions for the "Concert Day Project", be sure to check the Beginning Band main page for all the great submissions! We will have a Zoom wrap-up session on Friday, June 12th at 1pm, please join in to chat about the concert presentation, summer practicing and say hello to your bandmates before summer! Your assignment this week is the “5th Grade Band Concert Day Celebration Project" as explained on "5th Grade Band Practice Sheet" posted below. You have 3 options for this assignment- a video recording of you playing one or all of the band songs to my conducting track, a concert introduction of one of the band songs or a video of you giving a concert for your family. Submissions will be shared on concert day! Choose the one you are most comfortable with, or choose to do all 3, but please do at least one so you can be part of the concert day celebration project on June 10th.
You can also participate in the "School Spirit/Rock the Vote" practice photo challenge this week. Show your school spirit and support of our music programs by getting decked out in the your Victor Blue & Golds, make a sign encouraging everyone to vote or go practice by a voting sign in your neighborhood somewhere! Ask your parents to take you out to play where our community members can see you, in a socially distant/safe way, and share your music, encouraging all to "Rock the Vote"!!
