Stalybridge Archery Club is affiliated to the following UK bodies

Cheshire Archery Association

The  CAA  is  the  governing  body  for  the sport  of  archery at county level within  this  area, covering  the  current  county  of Cheshire,  the  Wirral  peninsula and  parts  of  south  and  east Manchester.

When the GNAS (Now ArcheryGB) was created, the ‘British Isles and Northern Ireland’ was split into ‘Regions’.

NCAS was set-up to serve the five Northern Counties of England, plus the Isle of Man.

Archery GB

Archery GB, previously The Grand National Archery Society is the governing body for the sport of archery in the United Kingdom. Under this main body are 8 Regional Societies and then many different county societies 

ArcheryGB  (The National governing body for the UK) is also associated to Continental and International Archery bodies

World Archery Europe, (WAE) was formerly know as the European and Mediterranean Archery Union, and was founded in April 1988.

Its primary goal is to promote and encourage archery throughout Europe and the Mediterranean area, which now encompasses some 51 Countries.

It holds regular events for both Juniors and Seniors in the target and field disciplines, as well as seminars for coaching and judging.

World Archery is the international governing body for the sport of archery. Its mission is to promote and regulate archery worldwide, developing the sport with over 160 member associations through international events, development initiatives and marketing. It is endorsed by the International Olympic Committee, International Paralympic Committee and International World Games Association, among others.

It is responsible for setting the rules and regulations for international archery events, organising the World Archery Championships and for the sport at the Olympic Games, Paralympic Games and World Games.
