Voted to Impeach Attorney General Ken Paxton

On May 21, 2023 the Texas House voted to impeach Attorney General Ken Paxton, a popular Attorney General and proud supporter of Donald Trump. The Texas House voted 121 to 23 for the impeachment charges. They charged him with bribery and abuse of office, even though they had no evidence. Paxton was reported to the FBI (who investigated him) by Texas Republicans, even though they admitted that they had no evidence of any wrongdoing. The establishment Texas Republicans have opposed AG Paxton ever since he took office. He has been a strong fighter for conservative values and border security (Texas Republicans have failed to pass bills related to border security). This seems to be a move to take down an anti-establishment candidate.
