Miller of Illinois Part A Amendment No. 36 sought to "(require) airlines to reinstate pilots who were fired or forced to resign because of vaccine mandates." This was an Amendment to the Securing Growth and Robust Leadership in American Aviation Act (H.R.3935). The Amendment failed to pass due to eighty-three (83) Republicans voting against the Amendment and two Republicans not voting (140 Republicans voted for the amendment). Only one Democrat supported the amendment, while two hundred eleven (211) Democrats voted against it. Three Democrats chose not to vote.
