Joined Democrats in Protecting China from U.S. Tariffs

H.J.Res.39 - Disapproving the rule submitted by the Department of Commerce relating to "Procedures Covering Suspension of Liquidation, Duties and Estimated Duties in Accord With Presidential Proclamation 10414" passed the House (221-202) on April 28, 2023. The resolution seeks to repeal the Biden Administration's two year solar panel tariff suspension. Nine House Republicans voted with a majority of Democrats against the resolution, while twelve Democrats joined Republicans in voting for the resolution. President Biden vetoed the resolution on May 17, 2023.
