Voted to Allow the Federal Government Increase Access to Abortion

An amendment (Good of Virginia Part A Amendment No. 9)  introduced in the House of Representatives by Rep. Bob Good (part of the REINS Act of 2023 (H.R.277)) would have stripped the Federal Government of its authority to increase abortion access, but it failed to pass the House of Representatives because ten Republicans voted against the amendment. The amendment failed 211 to 223. Five Representatives did not vote at all.
