Chose not to Vote to Protect Minors from Serialization and Mutilation (TX SB14)

TX SB14 established a ban on ‘gender transition’ surgery on minors. The bill also banned the use of public funds on such procedures. It prohibits licensed doctors from performing such surgeries and bans the distribution of hormones and other ‘gender transitioning’ drugs to minors. The bill gives the Attorney General power to enforce this law. The law has a few exceptions for children who were already taking hormones/drugs before the law was enacted, but it seeks to have the child weaned off the drugs/hormones in a manner that is medically safe.
