After crossing the county line, the original alignment swings west on NW Old St. Helens Highway. While Taylor references this fragment with the Rocky Point Road, I am calling it by what it is called on Google Maps, NW Old St. Helens Highway.

Somewhere around here, there was a resort. All I know is from Taylor, and all Taylor has is this photo and its caption... Not sure if this is the Florence Auto Park or not. It seems like Taylor would have labeled it as such if it were.

At Jones Creek, there is some evidence that there may have been a curve in the original alignment that was straightened out later, following the drainage hillside more closely than the current road. The possible old road bed is shown, looking eastbound from the north end, in the photo below.

Since it is likely that the Route 2 / US 30 route here was following an existing road at the time it was built, it is possible that this could be the trace remains of that older road.
