John Day River to Burnside Loop

Aside from video of the highway through this segment, which isn't posted yet, I've never had much content for this section. The current alignment appears to follow the original alignment fairly closely.

However, I believe that there are a couple of small, abandoned loop fragments that remain where the highway has been straightened out. These are noticeable to keen eyes when driving this segment, and are somewhat visible in Google Earth, as well.

I have yet to explore these small loops on foot yet.

From Google Earth and lidar imagery, though, there is nothing certain aside from the Claremont Road Fragment.

This first loop is not visible on Google Earth, but it is from the highway.

The fragment at Claremont Road seems a little more certain... The lidar image suggest that there may be even more abandoned road grade than is visible in the Google Earth image.
