Pukara-sa is a traditional Okinawan home, over 50 years old, that was carefully relocated and restored as a private guesthouse.

Located in Nakijin, in the northern part of Okinawa Island, Pukara-sa welcomes just one group of guests each day.

This is not a hotel built for convenience and efficiency.

It is a real Okinawan home, where traditional architecture and the wisdom of island life can still be felt.

The house was built using traditional woodworking techniques, with its wooden posts and beams joined together without nails.

The roof is covered with handmade Ryukyu red tiles, now increasingly difficult to find.

Inside, you will find Okinawan ryukyu tatami, natural wood, and spaces designed around the climate, culture, and traditions of Okinawa.
