The first step is to build your coop, which should be large enough to house your pigeons and their offspring. You probably want to make this out of wood, as it is cheaper and easier to build. You can then buy pigeon feed from any pet store or online.


Make sure that the coop is protected so that the pigeons cannot fly away and get lost or killed by predators. A fence with a roof over it will work fine. If you want, you can also add some sort of netting on top of the fence, since it will keep out larger birds such as hawks and owls from attacking your pigeons.


Once the coop has been built, place some food in there for them to eat when they get hungry. Make sure that they have access to water as well by filling up bowls or pans with water every day.
