The 1st day of the year 10702 AD
When the whole saving the region didn't play out, with Aranor dying, Feldru decided that he would now accompany Shara in her journey, just as some other friends of hers she made along the way. Like Ralos, being the one that always helped Shara a lot with the many injuries she got, who to no surprise decided to come with her on her quest as well, so she could keep taking care of her. And also Cherryscrub, who resumed his place at her side to help her, and the others.
After all having met Shara, and being told to come to the town of Peacepub, the adventurers all find themselves late at night in the tavern. not before long Shara comes in, and they introduce one another. After Shara told them about the prophecy and what might happen four weeks from now, they agree to help and work together.
After Shara left, they got into a bar fight with the local Dwarves there, and Lunosa killed them. Now forbidden to stay at the tavern, they had to find a new place. They got word of a little inn outside of the town, but en route there they got attacked by Goblins, who however were easily outmatched. The walk and the fight did give the party some time to get to know each other.
Arriving at the inn they sought for a place to sleep. Bobobo managed to hex the owner into allowing him to sleep in her room.
The next morning the inn keeper realized this and got angry, at which Lunosa killed her. When they woke up Rogul went out to scout the area, while Jurgen was trying to hunt some food. Later that day they went out to ransack some Goblin encampments.
After having met with the four adventurers, Shara regroups with Ralos, Feldru, and Cherryscrub. Trying to uncover more of the evil that is coming their way. The adventurers themselves have now started to scout the area, and found themselves fighting Goblins.
After having witnessed Aranor die, Cherryscrub wanted to resurrect him. So he started to study a bit about resurrection. When he found it he told Shara what they needed. Shara, in turn, wanted to share this with the group of adventurers, hoping they would help.
Still busy ransacking the Goblins, the adventurers return to their new inn, where they meet up with Shara. Who brought her friends Cherry, Feldru and Ralos. They informed the group about needing the diamond Cherry needs for the resurrection, and that they could find it in Minersden. So they plan on going there the next morning. After this Rogul discovers some things about the previous inn keeper, and that she has a husband, who is bound to comeby at some point.
Before going to Mindersden, Bobobo needs to take care of some business, namely making sure the inn stays his. For this he needs to assassinate the husband of the late inn keeper, and take care of the paperwork, for which he asked Jurgen to help. He succeeds in this, and now the inn is officially his. After this they enter the sacred and secret tunnels to Minersden, of which Jurgen knew, while Ralos accompanies them. Underway to the city they encounter a hidden passage in the tunnel. Behind the secret door is another tunnel, leading to a small rope bridge. Behind this there is a large open room, housing a single tiny baby Orange Dragon. After long struggles Rogul manages to calm it down and pick it up to take with. Bobobo also finds a sixth of a crystal Dragon egg, remembering him of some old legend about ancient Dragon races.
After this they make their way to Minersden, where they ask around for the precious diamond, and 1 of the guards points them towards the blacksmith, Darkal. On their way to his shop, they first stop at a magic store to buy some fancy gear. After this they meet with Darkal, who actually offers them the diamond for free, in turn for them smuggling him out of the city. They agree to do this and proceed to the tunnels again. The guards however notice Darkal with them, and try to stop them but luckily Jurgen pulls up a quick distraction and they make it away. They take Darkal to their inn where the others are waiting with a surprise and new information. The surprise is their new hideout, a large floating island, with a tavern, blacksmith, alchemy lab, armory, mage tower, and a table for meetings. Darkal decides to stay here with them, and be their blacksmith.
As to Shara's intel they head to the south east of Western Valley. Here they encounter multiple Fletchling camps. They quickly decimate them, and come across a cave. This is the same cave as where Shara and Aranor fought the Fiend Wolf. In this cave, they encounter various Fiendish species, and a lot of treasure. Roaming through these hallways they encounter a jail. In one of the cells they see a heavily crippled Elven woman. Bobobo notices the cell has an anti magic field on it, so Rogul decides to go in. The Elf whispers to him and asks him to take her out. Rogul hesitates but takes her out and puts her on the ground. Over the course of the next 3 seconds an Eidolon forms around her body allowing her to stand up, she is a synthesist. After taking a few seconds she thanks Rogul and introduces herself as Lanal, a Void Elf. She then goes with them.
After a while Kuro, walking in front of the others, ends up walking into an invisible portal. The others soon follow the bird. On the other side the realize they are now in the Abyss. After a few minutes a Fiend shows up, the Fiend Lord Shax. He is enraged with them being here and attack. But due to his lack in power gets defeated, although barely. However, when he was killed, the platform they were standing on collapsed. Jurgen, who happened to for some reason be carrying Lanal's cells door, manages to open a portal to their island. They all make it through, including the body of Shax. Still thankful for being saved, Lanal decides to stick around.
After accomplishing what they were recruited to do, they take a little break and spent their time training, talking, and taking care of other things. Jurgen manages to strike a deal with the chief of Peacepub, namely money in trade for ridding Western Valley of Goblins. The rest of the day the group spends training with the others on the island, and learn some fun tricks. At this point Luno also manages to unlock some hidden power and becomes an elementalist.
Having just raided a Goblin encampment, they now find themselves surrounded by 50 Goblins. Luckily Bobobo has just the solution for this. With one of his newly made spells, he manages to wipe them all out. But then they see a single Goblin still standing, who the brings back 6 Goblins as skeletons. After the fight, they decided to travel to the east, for that is an area where there once were many undead. But before that they went back to the island. There Bobobo and Zalezo spent some time working on spells, and Jurgen went to the city to get supplies. Rogul went to check on their Dragon friend, who apparently has grown quiet a bit. Also Lunosa spent some time training on becoming an elementalist, having shown quiet some prowess at casting fire spells. When she actually succeeded she managed to summon an elemental guardian, Cinder, who appears as a large flaming wolf.
Jurgen goes to collect the reward for killing the Goblins, while the others converse with Feldru. He found out that with Shax dead, all of the undead in Skull Bay had now perished.
The next day they travel to Skull Bay, and once again find themselves fighting a Goblin chief, but this time manage to beat him.
Now getting close to the church that houses the Cult of the Damned, Bobobo has set his mind on going there and become a Lich. Arriving at the lake shore, they also sense another magical area further into the lake. Bobobo decides to go to the church on his own, while the other go to the other magical place. Except for Jurgen, Zev and Cinder. Who just stay on the shore.
On the island, Bobobo meets Raeth'Sorice, who decides to indeed turn Bobobo into a Lich, however, the ritual goes amiss. Nobody knows what is about to happen.
In the mean time the others arrived at their target. The magical energy seems to come from deep into the lake. So they dive in, noticing that they can breath in this water, as well as talk. once in they start to roam the halls, of what appears to be a Gill Goblin capital, once a stronghold of Sea Giants. Not long after they enter they encounter a few Goblins, whom they easily defeat. After that Lunosa triggers a trap, and gets sucked into a slim tunnel with a strong current, knocking her unconscious. Rogul and Zalezo are trying to find her but don't seem to succeed.
In the next few hours they are hopelessly scouring the caverns, facing of against a Great Sea Serpent, two Kelpies, and an elder Ice Elemental. Also the found many valuable treasures. Like a magic armor and gauntlet for Rogul, a new spear for Jurgen, and a new dagger for Bobobo.
Rogul and Zalezo are finding their way through the hallways of the underwater Goblin city, getting lost all the time . They face off against some giant crabs and the crab king. A while after that Rogul finds a magical bow, granting him immense powers.
While Rogul and Zalezo are busy in the underwater city, Jurgen is about to start on a journey of his own, while Luno is still unconscious in the same city.
Getting impatient Jurgen decides to take of together with Zev and Cinder, heading towards the has-been Undead capital. Here he first encounters a mystical mirage of a Giant, which dares him to accept a challenge. After a short discussion he accepts, and faces of with a Bearded Devil. When he stands victorious he gains a mighty hammer, and a shiny armor, which come paired with a book of tenants and weird powers. He then finds prisoners in the dungeon, among others the Snakefolk Serkis Seral, who is in fact the one that had helped Rogul escape years ago, Vag the Ogre, and many Dwarves, amongst which Orik and Lendys.
The morning after she got sucked in, Luno wakes up and finds herself in a dark room. She finds a thin wall and smashes her way out of there. After that she mindlessly roams through the caves in circles, being lost like never before, but after some hours she finally finds her way out, without encountering the others. She goes back to the surface and to the shore, where she decides to first check out the town, and then go and track Jurgen and her wolfs. In the town she finds some magical rings that she takes, right before facing of against a Bloodfire Sorcerer. When she is about to defeat him, he teleports away, but not before throwing a necklace around Luno's neck. Luno takes it off and throws it away, but it just teleports back to her neck, then she notices a tattoo appearing on her left shoulder. After this she goes to the capital city, to Jurgen.
Sometime after that, out of frustration Rogul smashes a wall, actually revealing the actual Goblin city. They bluff their way out, with Zalezo pretending to be a Gill Goblin, and Rogul his humble steed. In the town they make some purchases, and are gifted some explosive water bomb arrows, which they use to collapse the ceiling, and kill 66% of the population. After this they find their way out, still not knowing what happened to Luno. And then they go on and track Jurgen, towards the capital city of this region.
Jurgen enjoys the day drinking with the other Dwarves, still waiting for the others.
Day eleven Luno arrives in the city looking for Jurgen and her wolfs, followed not much later by Rogul and Zalezo. When they all met up they were attacked by a pack of Batfolk, who they defeated with the help of Serkis and Vag. When they were done Serkis and Rogul had a short confrontation. After this battle the adventurers regroup and are searching the city for interesting things.
Rogul is looking through blacksmiths and armories in search of maybe some good gear, when he encounters a mysterious warrior doing the same thing, who scours off. Later when meeting back with the rest the warrior shows up again, now introducing himself as Yunan Torran, mercenary extraordinaire, accompanied by Warmos, an old Wood Elf. As they all meet, they suddenly hear loud roars coming from the sky outside of the city, rushing to the gate they see a medium sized Dragon coming towards them. Rogul tries to go to it, and talk to it, as Platinum Dragons are known to be sentient, but all he did was roar back. Once they reached the others again Yunan attacked the Dragon right away almost killing it. However, Zalezo went to the Dragon and healed it, then changing into a large Naga like form, and attacked the others together with the Dragon. They almost killed Jurgen, before being defeated. Zalezo, when killed, turned into a small puddle of water, and the Dragon changed into a weird looking Human. The Dragon person stood up and told them he is called Lucian, and said he was sorry. He told them he had been tortured earlier that week and because of that went feral. Normally he is in control of the Dragon transformation, but this time he wasn't. Lucian then offers his services as a healer and fighter, which Jurgen, still offended, stubbornly refuses. While the others are okay with it.
After this they go out to hunt food, at which Warmos gets mad because they killed three stags, and then disappears. Later that night the group invites Lucian and Yunan to their island, to drink at their inn.
Our adventurers decide to take some time for their selves, and commit to training and work. The next 14 days the spend their days working, while Luno also trains for a while.
After 9 days in blackness, Bobobo is suddenly confronted by two large purple eyes. Who mysteriously wishes him good luck on his journey, just before blasting him with lightning once again. Right after Bobobo wakes up, and finds himself on a small platform, halfway up a mountain, he notices an empty feeling, like his magic is gone. He also notices the fact that he now indeed is, a Lich. After a few minutes, he once again gets pulled in the darkness where the eyes are again there. With a female voice she confronts Bobobo on losing his powers as a witch, due to her "knockoff" not being a fan of the undead, and then she once again grants him the powers of a witch. Bobobo concludes that this must be Imbross, and she confirms that he is indeed right.
After this he goes down the mountain, into the city below him, and quickly notices the amount of undead creatures. He encounters a Batfolk guard, who he manages to annoy so much, he just flew off. After that he talked to a Skeletal Dwarven blacksmith, who tells him some stuff about the city and the Liches. After a while he goes inside the main cathedral where he faces of with the Lich, Rulthad. In the end Rulthad kills Bobobo, but once again he rejuvenates.
When Bobobo wakes up again he goes back and gets his gear, the Lich grants him a reward for his skills, and commitment, the reward was a magical item that granted him a huge boost in spell casting, and a new ability, namely Ethereal Jaunt. Bobobo somewhat swore allegiance to the Liches.
Outside he is jumped by a young Batfolk, who was sent to accompany him, Violorr. As to Rulthad's instructions, Bobobo finds his way to the graveyard, where he meets a Val'Kyr. The Val'Kyr, whom Bobobo seems to love, creates a minion for him, and thanks him for killing the Fiend Lord Shax. After all this Bobobo opens a door to the island, accompanied by his new minion, and friend.
Here he meets up with the others of our party, and the spent some time introducing one another.
Yunan Torran, a renowned mercenary, parts his ways from the other adventurers and leaves his companion Warmos. He now takes new bounties from their new found capital, and the Dwarves who reside there. Yunan is preparing himself for the journey ahead, taking some rest, and talking with the leader of the new adventurers guild. Their leader agrees that if he is would be successful in the contract given to Yunan by Lucian, he can become a member.
This day they take a break from their routine, and spent the day building a kingdom, the Atlesian Kingdom. The Dwarves that Jurgen found in the jail already agreed on joining them in this endeavor, and starting their own adventurers guild, which Rogul then joined.
They give some Dwarvefs the order to construct a sawmill in the woods next door, and lay down some road towards Western Valley. They then explored the land south of the city to clear it of danger, so then they could claim it. Further they stated that two weeks from now there will be a festival with magical performances, fireworks and ale. Invites were send too:
The next day, day 21, Yunan leaves for the Tusk Cliffs, on his way through the mountain pass he is ambushed by some Trolls, who he easily beats. He then starts to search the area where the treasure would be, but the Trolls from the nearby city see him, and sent their garrison at him. He then beats all 35 soldiers, but gets beaten by a Trogre, who then takes him prisoner. Yunan gets thrown into a pit, and for the next 6 days is forced to fight in an arena. With him in the pit was another Troll, Tozo the ranger. Yunan helped the mortally injured Tozo, and in turn gained a friend.
It is now the 26th day that the adventurers are together, today they start their next journey.
After spending some relaxing time in their new city, they now head towards a new adventure. But before they go to the Plains of Ruthal they make a stop at Minersden. There they sell all their loot, and participate in some cage fights, and magic duels. With all the money they got they bought some new magical items to help them.
The next day they start traveling towards the Plains of Ruthal, and at the border they take another days rest, and wake up to an angry young Red Dragon. After slaying it they rip apart its body to sell in the next town the come across. Which happens to be some Dwarven settlement, which none of our adventurers has ever heard off. They are staying in the local tavern. Here they meet Agrimm Stonebeard.
Together Yunan and Tozo manage to escape with both the treasure, and the mystical artifact and spell book of the villages lead shaman that Tozo wanted. These items are then claimed by Tozo to become a shaman. They escape by means of a roc, who is Tozo's pet.
Now in the air with Tozo's loyal roc and rhino, they make their way to the northern Plains of Ruthal, in search of an elephant to be Yunan's new companion.
They make a new saw mill and start sending Dwarves to new territory to claim more land.
When arriving, Yunan and Tozo get shot down by a Red Dragon, and the roc is dying. They stabilize the roc and fight of the Dragon, and then go search for an elephant. When they get back there is a cloaked figure healing the roc, this turns out to be Lucy. She joins Yunan and Tozo, and then go killing Dragons for the rewards granted by the Ironsword Company settlement nearby, led by Agrimm Stonebeard. With this money they set out to Flamecannopy, a Tigerfolk village skilled in magic, to buy Tozo something to help him with spellcasting.
They left for hunting some Dragons and after killing 5 found themselves near Red Refuge, here they meet Vaugith, an old friend of Rogul. Rogul meets with the council, exposing Lothark who claims he is wrong. Bobobo then casts zone of truth, and Lothark exposes himself, after which he flees. Bobobo and Lucian then curse him and he runs faster. He then bumps into Lunosa, whom just returned from single-handedly slaying a Dragon, who intimidates him, making him cry on the floor peeing his pants. He is then captured, and the party sleeps in Vaugith's house.
After getting the things Tozo needed, they head to Stormhaven to sell things, and upgrade some gear. Here they get a bounty for stopping the Orc and Troll raids on the outlying villages.
The next morning Lunosa and Jurgen travel back to the Dwarven settlement, to sell all the dead Dragons. After this Jurgen decides to leave, to take a break. During this time Rogul is catching up with old friends, and Bobobo and Lucian hang around Red Refuge. When Luno gets back she receives her new fire proof hide armor, and fire proof saddles. Bobobo also casts reduce person on himself, and makes it permanent.
After being in Red Refuge for two some days, they decide to travel onwards. They head out to Na-Harf, a Foxfolk town. This is where Rogul had been captured in his youth, and fought in a coliseum. Nearing the town, they decide that at first only Luno and Bobobo go in, while the others wait high in the sky. The two find themselves in front of a slave trader selling his wares. Seeing this Bobobo gets an idea, what if they free these slaves and recruit them to live in Goldcrest. They ask the slaver how many slaves he owns, at which the slaver takes them to his warehouse. In there they see 10 guards guarding a couple cells, holding a total of 60 slaves. Bobobo casts mass dominate person on all the guards and the slaver, forcing him to give them all his money, magical items, and slaves. This totaled up to a 100 thousand GP, 4 magical items, and about 35 new citizens.
Becoming weary of what is happening in the town, Rogul and Lucian decide to go down and check what building Luno and Bobobo went into. Arriving there they see Luno coming outside followed by Dwarves and Giants killing the guards in front of the building. Rogul and Lucian soon join the ever growing fight. Which know consists of our adventurers, joined by 6 Dwarves and 4 Cliff Giants, versus 14 Snakefolk Guards, a Foxfolk witch, a Foxfolk archwizard and 3 Scorpids. This is the first time any of them had seen anything like this Scorpid. Somehow the party manages to not survive this battle, but even win it without a scratch.
They make their way to the coliseum, through the empty abandoned streets. In front of the coliseum there are four guards, two Scorpids and two Foxfolk. Bobobo goes in with ethereal jaunt, and scouts the coliseum, where he sees a Snakefolk gladiator fighting a muzzled Sphinx. On his way back he uses his slumber hex on the four guards, who fall asleep. Rogul and Lucian kill three of the guards, and take the last one to the slave traders building for interrogation. She reveals the guard schedule and shifts. Rogul then tries to kill her with his hammer, but fails not once, not twice, but three times, at which Lucian walks up to her and grants her mercy by killing her with magic, withering her body. He then loots a locket from her, depicting a young Foxfolk girl. Bobobo asks for this locket from Lucian, planning on hunting the depicted girl down.
After this they head back to the coliseum, Bobobo flies above it and covers the area in black tentacles. The Sphinx is the only one that doesn't get grappled by this, and it flees the arena by herself. Her opponent, a newly added warrior, is a member of Roguls tribe. When Rogul sees him he asks Bobobo to save him. In the meantime the tentacles kill the 120 spectators of the match, and the rest of the gladiators, including more Giants. The surviving Giant is Moroth, and the Sphinx introduces herself as Dialline. Bobobo asks Dialline what she was doing her, and she tells him the cult caught her, hoping she would reveal what she protected. Bobobo fails to find out what it is she protects, but gets an idea on how to convince her to let them help her, so she will help them.
The group decides they want to go and take out the cults main camp to the south, but they first want to rest the rest of the day. They head home to their island with Dialline and Moroth. Not before long Rogul notices buildings in the city burning, and the roofs filled with invaders. The invaders appear to be Gorillafolk. They all fly down repelling the invaders. Bobobo looks for their leader and teleports up to him, saying he can choose to retreat or die. The leader charges at him so Bobobo uses finger of death, which sadly fails. Bobobo gets attacked, but luckily Rogul was there to repel the four guards of the leader. Bobobo call down lighting to kill the leader, while Rogul uses his breath on the others and shoots them with his bow.
After this our heroes fight through the many, many enemies. Using many of their different skills they manage to slay dozens of the Gorillafolk. Although there are way too many left, and Bobobo, Lucian and Dialline are running out of spells to cast. Dialline comes up to Bobobo and hands him a giant shining diamond, and asks Bobobo to use it for a wish, and use it wise. Bobobo the conjures up a giant hole in the ground, and uses the wish to teleport all the Gorillafolk into the pit. The diamond shatters and shards shoot towards all of the Gorillafolk. After they are all there Bobobo feels extremely exhausted and Rogul and Lucian use their breath weapons to kill them all, at which they disintegrate.
While regrouping the party sees a few more Gorillafolk just outside of the city, most of which are running away, but three are staying. Bobobo quickly possesses the first one, Rogul shoots the second one, and Lucian and Dialline cast a spell on the last one basically cooking it alive. As Bobobo can feel the magic completely drained from his body he decides to stay in the Gorillafolk's body.
After this they notice the sky getting rapidly darker, and a small area on the ground surrounding Rogul, Luno, and Lucian starts to turn black with shadows. Rogul and Lucian quickly fly away, but Luno gets jumped by a small Black Shadow Dragon from the shadows. The Dragon tries to bite her and then turns into a cloud of black smoke swallowing her whole. For about 10 seconds nobody can see Luno, and then the smoke clears and the skies turn bright again. In the place where Luno just was, now only lays all of her armor, gear, and other possessions. Bobobo starts looking through her things looking for clues and finds a piece of dark glass in her armor. He also carefully avoids her necklace which is now slowly pulsating red from the ruby embedded in it.
The three adventurers then loot Luno's gear dividing it among them. After that Rogul sends his familiar to pick up Luno's amulet, which then starts pulsating faster and faster, exploding 2 seconds later into a fiery burst transforming the 15 ft surrounding into a piece of the Elemental Plane of Flame. Rogul himself manages to jump away just fast enough, but the others are caught in the blast. After the blast, Bobobo picks up the shattered amulet and plans on melting it and having it crafted into a magical headband. Bobobo also decides to wrap the glass shard in cloth and hide it in their dungeon in a magic-proof cell.
Rogul Moroth and Dialline spend the evening drinking, and Bobobo convinces Serkis to take care of Zev and Cinder. Cinder isn't feeling to good as she lost her flame after Luno disappeared.
After getting the things Tozo needed, they head to Stormhaven to sell things, and upgrade some gear. Here they get a bounty for stopping the Orc and Troll raids on the outlying villages. The party decides to head on to an outlying village to investigate. Here they are ambushed. After quickly defeating the Orcs, they head on to destroy an encampment nearby. They slaughter the Orcs, but a warlock manages to banish them to another plane.
A loud but peaceful tavern, where 5 unlikely strangers meet each other. The tavern in Beluir was filled with drunken Halflings. At the bar there is a hooded Flare Elf, at one of the tables a drunken Bisonfolk, and in the corner a blank staring Human lady sits at the floor. Xerion and Zarelenn walk inside, and start to go around, Zaralenn starts with mocking the Bisonfolk, and Xerion gambles with a random Halfling. Not before long the Flare Elf and Bisonfolk leave together to go hunting, Zaralenn shoots her gun at the doorpost to convince them she can come. Xerion starts to talk to Jen, the Human lady, since she now walked up to the bar. Xerion sways Jen to join him in a swindle to win gold from a Halfling with a rigged dice game. She wins two gold pieces, but Xerion gives them back. The Halfling then goes home confused, but Xerion has Vyaas follow him.
Braahm, Blaize and Zaralenn start hunting tigers. After they found one Xerion and Jen join them, but only watch. Braahm charges at the tiger, but misses him by quite a bit. Zara then shoots him twice, and Blaize throws some magic missiles at him. Jen then shows Xerion a nice trick and casts decompose corpse on the now dead tiger.
Braahm, Blaize and Zara continue on, and follow the tracks of the tiger towards a den. Xerion and Jen go look for James. They find his house and knock on the door, a young girl opens the door, James' daughter. She then fetches her father, Xerion starts to doubt his choices, due to James having a daughter. When James came to the door Xerion asked for the money he 'didn't pay'. James pulled an axe from behind the door and stepped outside. Xerion threatened him, and asked for information about local legends, regarding strong magical artifacts. James told him a story about a rumored vault deep in the Marsh of Misdirection.
In the meantime Braahm, Blaize and Zara track down the tiger's den, and blow up the cave with Zara's dynamite. Blaize tries to take some dynamite from Zara at which she shoots him, killing him. Because of this Braahm left.
After this Zara heads back to their wagon, where she encounters Jen and Xerion. She passes out drunk in the entrance of their wagon. Xerion paid for Jen to get a room at the inn.
Rhowar the Fourth prophesied a great evil that came to threaten Crescent Bay. In this prophecy four unlikely travelers would need to team up, and make their stand. He would find these four on a crossroads, and so he left. Later that day, on a crossroads in the far west of Crescent Bay, he found them.
From the north comes a pale ginger Human-looking girl with messy braided hair, wearing baggy clothes. From the south approaches a wagon, carrying a Human Scaleborne lady, and a Snakefolk warrior. From the west comes walking a Halfling who looks like he blew himself up. And lastly from the east, there comes a hooded figure.
Endellion quickly approached the cart, seeing what the people on it sell. Natasha tells her they sell, way too expensive, potions, that don't even work, but who cares about that. She asks if she could travel along, but gets charged way too many. Duncan mixes himself into the conversation, all the while Rhowar just stands there waiting. Eventually Endellion approaches him. Rhowar tells them about his prophecy, and that they have to help the people. They all agree, and question him for information.
He tells them all about the mist, and the missing people. They head towards the closest village to the east, and ask around there in the tavern. They meet two Dwarves who came from the town that disappeared in the mist. They told them about people looking like they died. People vanishing in the mist, and that barely anybody made it out. They couldn't tell them much more though. They then head to the general store, where they get some rope. Natasha seems to know the shop keeper from her past, and sells him some of her potions. He also tells them that the mist has been around for about a week or maybe two.
They then head towards the border of the mist, which is just outside the town to the north. On the way they get attacked by a pack of lions. They kill them, and decide to take one with for food. Soda tries to throw in on the cart, but fails and falls back with the lion on top of her. Endellion then tries to help her, but breaks her own wrist in the process. She starts screaming and crying from the pain. The others try to help Soda first, but all fail. In a fit of adrenaline, Soda manages to throw the Lion of onto the cart. Natasha then tries to help Endel with her wrist, but doesn't seem to succeed. Rhowar then fixes her up with some magic.
They continue to the border, where they find the mist. Natasha starts flying over it, looking how far it spreads. They throw in a lion's paw to see what happens, but nothing does. Endel then decides to put her hand in, which burns with evil energy, but no actual burns. Duncan manages to take a sample into a flask without touching it. Which Nat studies afterwards. She discovers it is strong evil aligned necromancy magic.
On their way back to the tavern, Rhowar offers them all a card from his deck. Endellion drew the Rabbit Prince, Duncan the Peacock, Natasha the Locksmith, and Soda the Empty Throne. Afterward they go to the tavern, and turn in for the night. Just before they go to sleep, Endellion and Duncan see Rhowar leaving, but he doesn't tell them why.
The next morning Bobobo teleports him, Rogul, Lucian, Moroth and Dialline to Red Refuge, but something goes wrong and they end up high in the mountains. He teleports them again, this time ending up at the right place. Dialline parts from the group and flies to her sanctuary. Rogul and Moroth report to the Cliff Giant council about what happened, and about the Giants that joined them in Goldcrest or died. Rogul also asks if there is gonna be a Dragon hunt soon, which there is at 4/9.
Afterwards the three adventurers teleport to Minersden to sell their loot and buy some gear. They know Bobobo and Rogul are actually wanted in Minersden, luckily Bobobo is still in the body of the albino Gorillafolk. Bobobo transforms Rogul into a Cat Sith so he can come unnoticed. They head to the blacksmith previously run by Darkal Firehammer, now run by his cousin Thordarm Fireforge. They sell their stuff and Rogul buys a new hammer and gauntlet. They then head to the magical curiosities shop, where Lucian buys a peculiar helmet and robe.
After that they head back home and give the people on the island some more crafting tasks. Rogul starts some retraining, and Bobobo starts planning world domination.
Orik goes to the summoning chamber in Goldcrest, and asks Darkal to summon Bobobo. Darkal heads inside the portal, and Bobobo tells him to let Orik in. Orik asks to become a Dark Rider. They make a deal, and Orik becomes a Dark Rider, as well as larger, and he got a scar and telepathic link, as well as a glamour amulet to hide his new appearance. In return, he gives Bobobo his eternal service. The contract is in blood, and can't be broken. Bobobo then teleports him with treacherous teleport to Juncture Jungle for funsies.
Jen and the twins meet up in the tavern, where they notice an unusual large Dwarf, Orik. Just before them a Frogfolk also entered the tavern as well. Xerion starts a conversation with Gurshy, while Zaralenn is amazed by the small creature. Xerion then introduces himself to the Dwarf, and Jen starts gambling with him for his name, Orik loses and gives his name. After this Xerion does the same with Gurshy, and he wins again. Xerion starts asking the two new people about if they know anything about the marsh, and the artifact there to be found. Gurshy tells him that he would know of a way to safely enter the marsh, without losing your mind. They all agree, and take off. Vyaas prepares the wagon, and plans a route. On the way Gurshy starts praying to Arcania for protection while riding his tiger. Jen tries to figure out what the device is Zara uses in combat, but Zara notices. She then just offers to explain it, and let Jen shoot with it. Xerion encourages Orik to start conversation with Vyaas, which he does. Xerion then punishes Vyaas for speaking without permission. While getting closer to the bridge into the marsh, Gurshy starts noticing more and more tortoises besides the road. Zara decides to pick one up, and feels a magic aura coming of of it. The tortoise also shines slightly. Xerion decides to also take one, disregarding Gurshy's advice not too. They name them Shelly and Sheldon respectively.
Reaching the bridge Vyaas brings the wagon to a halt. Jen leaves her donkey with wagon, and the group set out to the edge of the marsh. They see the now many tortoises walking into the marsh. Knowing what the marsh did to Jen when she went in last time, they decide to sent in Gurshy, because he asked for protection, with a rope tied to him for insurance. Gurshy disappears into the marsh, and Jen feels the rope being pulled. Orik grabs the rope and pulls it hard. Gurshy comes out of the marsh sliding on his ass. He then woke up with a major headache, and a bruised butt. Orik decides to then try himself, but before he goes in puts a turtle in his bag. He walks in without rope, and disappears. Half a minute later he is suddenly standing besides the party again, not remembering a thing (thanks to Bobobo). Zara then decides to also give it a shot, putting a tortoise on her head, and tying the rope to herself. She walks in and notices the glow of the tortoise getting brighter, and covering her. She feels fine, and leaves of her own accord. They then all grab a tortoise, and head in.
Not before long they hear rustling in the bushes. They ask who's there, and three Lizardfolk jump out. Zara pulls her gun, and Xerion his sword. They demand to get information. The Lizardfolk tell them the artifact they're looking for is in the far east of the marsh. But they refuse to lead the way due to the Dragons, and that they don't know where exactly it is. They tell them that someone in their village might know where to go, so they hit the road. On the way they get jumped by 3 giant spiders, and then 4 more. Jen reveals her Skinwalker curse, and transforms into a tiger like version of herself. They beat the spiders, with help of Osira, who just jumped from the trees.
Jen notices something, unusual. She manages to slip away and meet up with an ethereal figure, that the others couldn't see, Fadoran. While, seemingly, talking to the air, Jen blinks out of existence for about a minute, before returning just the same, now wearing a new ring, and having a piece of cloth torn from her clothes. Zara observes this, and confronts her by saying "Oh! You have voices in your head too?". Jen doesn't tell her much.
When they get back, Jen wants to talk to Xerion. She asks him to back off from going to the vault. Instead she offers a different plan to get stronger first, for which she needs two of the Lizardfolk dead. Xerion then challenges one of the Lizardfolk to a fistfight, and walks off. The rest starts to place bets on who would win, but only Jen and Osira bet on Xerion. Jen then plants a thought in Orik's mind, making him attack one of the Lizardfolk. Jen then calls out to Zara saying shoot. Both of them single hit the Lizardfolk, knocking them unconscious. Jen quickly silently casts imbue mark on them. Orik tries to skin one, and Zara tries to slit the others throat, but both of them can't seem to succeed. Jen then walks towards where Xerion went, who was now holding the Lizardfolk grappled on the floor. Jen warns Xerion not to freak out, and uses her ring to make a portal, jumps through and comes back as a Banshee. She then possesses Szarsz, and they go back.
Jen questions Szarsz about the city, finding out there is a shield protecting it from Dragons.
Zara declares Xerion the winner, and cashes in the money from the bets. Xerion and Jen explain what happened, and they then continue towards Darkscale. Arriving they are halted, and ask what they're doing here. Jen, as Szarsz, explains they were attacked by Dragons, and these strangers helped them, and that they wanted to talk to the chieftain. They send some a guard with Jen and Gurshy, who go to the chieftain, one with Xerion and Zara who follow them, and one with Orik and Osira who go look around. Xerion insists on going with Jen into the throne room, much to her dismay. Zara leaves them and starts drinking. They all have to hand over their weapons, and are allowed to enter. Inside is a throne, and are two guards as well. They all bow before the chieftain, and Jen starts talking about who they are, and asks for privacy. She then uses possession to take control of his body, but not before warning Szarsz not to run or scream. They then take a long time discussing what to do with Szarsz. Jen then stabs him and shouts to the guards, who then immediately attack Szarsz. Jen asks the guards to gather the village for an announcement. Xerion goes and look for the others.
He first finds Zara trying to swim on the ground, drunk, so he decides to pick her up on the way back. He then finds Osira, who is swarmed by little kids climbing on her and sliding of his wings. He helps him get free and they head out searching for Orik. In the meantime Xerion starts asking Osira questions about why she's here. When they find Orik he is drunk brawling with several Lizardfolk, but actually winning. Osira gets them off, and Xerion gets Orik up. They head back towards they throne room, but the guards halt them, because they're drunk.
In the meantime Gurshy talks to Jen about getting Fadoran as his patron in trade for some info about the egg, Jen in turn goes to the Dark Demiplane and tells Fadoran about Gurshy wanting to join. Fadoran joins Jen back to the material plane and Gurshy joins the Order of the Forgotten and leaves the Order of the Guardian.
Orik, Zara, Xerion and Osira gathered in the entrance after Orik had a small fight with a guard after being called too drunk to enter the home of the chieftain. Jen as the chieftain joins them with Gurshy.
After this two strangers join the group, Rhowar and Aldor. Rhowar offers to show a card trick by offering Zara to draw a card. She draws the Snake Bite card. Jen and Gurshy both recognize Rhowar. Aldor takes a good look at Jen, and slowly says: "Hi mom..". Jen is confused by this matter because 3 weeks ago Aldor was a newborn child.
Jen asks Rhowar to talk in private while Aldor explains to Gurshy, Orik, Zara, Xerion and Osira how he is 19 years old and his mom 20 years old and also tells about his 8 dads. After this knowledge, Xerion, Zara and Orik left to go drinking at the bar.
Jen and Rhowar talk about their son, and who Rhowar is in relation to the Shadow Pact. Afterwards they head back to the great hall, where now Gurshy demands to talk to Rhowar. Jen soons leaves the building looking for the others. Gurshy asks Rhowar about his business here, and why he never told Gurshy about the Shadow Pact, or the Forgotten.
Jen finds Zara and Orik knocked out on the floor, so she gets some guards to carry them back. She then finds Xerion, broken into a house, sleeping on the bed. She starts talking with him, but he barely responds. She decides to mark him, and put him in a bid in the Dark Demiplane, where she removes the rune. When she gets back she makes sure everybody has a room, and order the guards to dispose of Szarsz' body.
The next morning they awake in a fighting pit without any entrance or exit. The skies are red, the air dusty. In front of them spawn two Goblins out of a liquid red substance. After this, an Ogre spawns the same way, and then 5 black bears. They then hear a voice saying "Well done, now keep fighting." After this five Aasimar shadow guards spawn, followed by a Flame Elemental princess. When the princess, Kindra, died she transformed into a staff swearing loyalty to Lucy. After a few minutes a twelve-headed Hydra spawns, Lucy manages to kill it with one spell. The Hydra is followed by eight half-Tiefling Harpies. After this the voice speaks again "Good good, now prepare!". Moments later something teleported in front of them, the Fiend Lord of Wrath, Kostchtchie. After a difficult fight they manage to kill him, however, Yunan did lose his helmet. After Kostchtchie died a Marilith spawned. When it died its weapons transformed into two three-bladed star knives, being able to click together. After this the voice appears again, but this time in a body. It was Baphomet, Fiend Lord of Beasts. He offered them two options, take a treasure and leave through a newly formed door, or fight him for greater treasure, but at the risk of death. They chose the treasure and left. The treasure was a chest with 500,000 gold pieces. By using the key Bobobo gave Yunan, they ended up on the floating island above Goldcrest.
Yunan, Lucy, and Tozo step through the door where they are greeted by Bobobo and Lucian planning world domination. Lucy and Tozo are amazed by where they are. Yunan and Bobobo start talking about a deal. Yunan wanted to give Bobobo the hammer of the Fiend Lord Kostchtchie, in trade for control over a region he might soon take control of, assuming Bobobo still wants to go for world domination. Bobobo offered to give him some more power, in turn for mutual loyalty. They made up a contract and signed it.
In the meantime Rogul and Lucy talk for a while, telling Rogul the stories of the past 24 hours. All the while Tozo is walking around whistling really loud.
After that Bobobo took the Mercs to Gorilla City, to take revenge. Arriving at the gates, the guards kneeled for them. Bobobo effectively committed genocide once again and decimated the Gorillafolk population. After this the group continues on to Dead End, and, though they get through the main gate of the citadel, and even beat Rulthad this time around, they do not survive the coming battle, and Bobobo and Yunan end up dying, though Lucy manages to save herself and Tozo, teleporting back to the island above Goldcrest.
Lucy sadly informs Rogul. Rogul feels alone and defeated, now being the sole survivor of their original party. He, Lucy, and Lucian go out drinking that night. Before that, however, Tozo bid them farewell and set on a quest to free Troll slaves up North, and left his new friends.
Today they start travelling to the mountains west of the mist. Before they leave, Natasha and Duncan spend some extra time on researching the mist sample they took. They further discover it's Draconic in origins. While getting ready they notice Rhowar is nowhere to be found.
They leave the town on the wagon. On the way they suddenly hear a voice coming from atop the wagon. It's Rhowar, who's sitting there like nothing weird happened. He asked about if they did actually wanted to draw cards again, as the previous day they'd said they'd draw once a day. They all agreed, and drew a card. Duncan started of with drawing the Peacock again. Rhowar dispelled it, and let him draw again. This time Duncan drew the Cricket, for which he then drew the Wanderer , the Theater , and the Foreign Trader . Soda then drew the Rabbit Prince, and Endellion drew the Tangled Briar. Natasha drew last, and drew the Cyclone. From the skies a loud lightning bolt hit the ground near them, at which a tornado formed. From the tornado steps an elder Air Elemental, challenging Natasha to a duel. Nat declined, at which she was teleported, and the Elemental disappeared. In full distress the others begged Rhowar for help, so he teleported, and retrieved Nat from the Plane of Air. Natasha was extremely grateful.
They made their way to the base of the mountain, and a little further, where they made camp for the night. Duncan and Rhowar both drew another card at night, the Locksmith and the Survivor respectively.
Today is the day that Eradean, Immariel, and Morean left their home plane, and went on a journey together with Rhowar the Seventh. When they arrived in the Moonsong woods, they all drew 6 cards from Rhowar's deck, except for Morean.
Eradean went first, and pulled:
The Tangled Briar
The Fiend
The Demon's Lantern
The Rabbit Prince
The Joke
The Betrayal
The Cricket (Chosen by Eradean)
The Mute Hag
The Brass Dwarf
The Uprising
The Owl (Chosen by Immariel)
The Midwife
Immariel then drew:
The Hidden Truth
The Rabbit Prince
The Idiot
The Theater
The Marriage
The Cricket
The Brass Dwarf
The Desert
The Midwife
After all that Rhowar pulled:
The Mute Hag
The Cricket
The Big Sky
The Survivor
The Bear
The Trumpet
The Hidden Truth
The Rakshasa
The Mute Hag
Both Immariel and Eradean were now holding baby girls, which they gave to Rhowar to be raised by their family. Both of the girls seemed like normal Shadow Elves. A couple effects like the Idiot and Mute Hag were instantly dispelled by Rhowar.
The group heads towards the Shadow Elven capital, Shalara, where they have a slight discussion with the city guards. While looking around Immariel gets hugged from behind by a fire Genie, Pyrce. Pyrce tells him that he is Immariel's new husband. They head to a bar, and get some drinks, processing this new information. Eradean and Morean question Rhowar about how this happened, and he tells them they should roll with it, for it is too dangerous to decline. After a while they ask the bartender where in the city is the most amazing place to have a wedding. He tells them that'd be the cathedral, so they head over there.
They meet with the queen, queen Annai, and discuss if they could have the wedding there. At first, the queen denies it, as it is only meant for nobles and such. At which Eradean blurs out they are nobles. The queen starts laughing, having never seen them before, she doesn't quite believe them. Immariel then spreads his wings and reveals he is the son of the Tiefling Prince himself, at which the queen blinks twice. Annai agrees to let them have the wedding there, if, they can find the runestone hidden somewhere in the woods. The group leaves the citadel and the city.
Outside the borders, Immariel uses his Owl card to scry on the runestone. They figure out where it approximately is, and Rhowar teleports them there. They are standing on the cliffs surrounding Findrassill. Below them, they find a cave. Inside they notice some dead bodies and disabled traps. They can walk straight through, and find the runestone. They take it and head back to the queen. She now agrees to host their wedding on the seventh of the month.
The group visits the tailor and gets her to make them some suits. They then head to the wedding planner. Afterward, they head to the jeweler except for Rhowar. Eradean suddenly gets teleported. He finds himself in a sort of fighting cage. The walls are round, and 20 feet high. There's a cage covering the top, and there are no doors whatsoever. The skies are red, and the clouds orange. He gets asked if he wants the others to be here too. He says yes, and Immariel, Morean, and Pyrce are now standing next to him. They look around for a second, and Morean decides to try to climb up. When they touch one of the bars they get blasted with lightning and fall down. They then decide to transform into a raven and fly through the bars. Once above, they see Baphomet and quickly flyback.
They still hear nothing. Behind them. a Dragon-like monster starts to form from a liquid. Pyrce quickly explains about the wishes. Immariel wishes for a bigger weapon, which she quickly regrets. Eradean then goes to wish for the Dragon to be gone. Morean then stops them and wishes for them to be back where they came from.
They arrive back at the jeweler. Where they hear loud roars of a Dragon. They head outside. There they see the Dragon laying siege on the city. Eradean and Immariel stand their ground and fight the thing, while Morean tries to shoot it from a hiding place, and Pyrce stays back. Rhowar is sitting on the side of the road and didn't interfere. After a while, it notices Morean and attacks them. Morean flies up, and the Dragon changes its target back to Immariel and Eradean. Morean flies way up, and changes back into an Elf. They draw their weapons and dive straight for the Dragon's head. They're now hanging on by their weapons, with the Dragon wildly sweeping its head. In this struggle, he hits Rhowar, who is not amused and starts throwing cards, immediately wounding the Dragon more than the combined efforts from his three niblings up till then.
They kill the Dragon and head toward a tavern. They have a few drinks, as Immariel is trying to get Pyrce drunk. In which he wholeheartedly succeeds. One of Pyrce's brothers shows up and the group has a few altercations but ends on good turns with his brother.
The following day Lucy returned to her past life of being a traveler, and Rogul takes sole leadership of Goldcrest, supported by the council he and his former friends had formed. He also started spending time at home sometimes, taking breaks from city life.
Following Bobobo's assault on the Throne of the Lich, the Lich King, Nerdril Deathcrown, sent a small task force to the Cult of the Damned to destroy Bobobo's phylactery, since otherwise he'd just come back again. This task force consisted of both Morgon Darkstone and Kaela Shadowbringer, two of the strongest Liches around at present, and the right and left hand of the Lich King himself. Besides that, they were accompanied by a group of twelve Dark Riders, the ones belonging to Nerdril, Morgon, and Kaela. They all but decimated the Cult of the Damned, but decided to spare them, albeit barely. They successfully destroyed Bobobo's phylactery without any casualties on their side.
Xerion wakes up in an unknown bed with a major headache. He leaves the room and walks downstairs. Through the outside door he sees total blackness. In the door sits a weird-looking fella, Ellian. Ellian mocks him for being confused, and acts like he doesn't know anything. Rhowar then comes walking in, and Xerion asks him to get Jen. Jen portals in, and takes Xerion back to the chieftain's room. They start talking, but soon get interrupted by Zara who was about to bash in the door, but Jen heard her coming so opened it beforehand.
They started talking, and decided to put everything on the table. They discussed things like Fadoran and the Shadow Pact, Jen's youth including the monastery, Endellion, and her heritage, the twins' mission, Zara's insanity, their allegiances, and the White Dragon they're after, They conclude that both the ladies want the Dragon. Zara so she and Xerion can continue their quest. And Jen so she has the power to claim her heritage. Zara then says: "To please us both, there might be a way.". She then tells them the information she got from the black market and had kept secret about the six parts, and a second egg.
Zaralenn made a remark, and heard a cackle in her head. She asked if Xerion and Jen heard it too, but they didn't. It couldn't have been the voice in her head.
Osira encounters Rhowar in the hallway, and asks him about the cards. She starts drawing cards. First the Avalanche, the Betrayal, the Crows, and the Cyclone. They all feel a slight earthquake, and start to hear a storm outside. The Crows card makes Osira choose between her weapons and Orik, she chooses her weapon, and Orik disintegrates in front of the twins and Aldor. Osira, Rhowar and Gurshy head down to the others, and Jen leaves her room and meets up with everyone. Xerion starts gathering the remains of Orik in a bag, while Osira continues drawing the Idiot, the Cricket, the Eclipse, and the Keep.
Aldor teleports away as lightning starts striking every second, and hits the building once or twice, collapsing the west wall. They hear people outside screaming. Jen, still as the chieftain, commands the guard to evacuate the citizens into the bunker, and goes to help them too after telling Osira to keep up the chaos outside. Gurshy joins Jen in helping, while the others all gather outside. They spot a colossal elder Air Elemental descending from the skies, challenging Osira to a duel. Osira tries to keep him talking, afraid to fight him, but also afraid of the consequences of declining the duel.
The twins and Gurshy enter the bunker as well, where Jen is now working on getting everyone marked, "to protect them". Osira keeps drawing and draws the Locksmith, the Twin, and the Midwife. She, now a he, gives the child to Rhowar, who is supposedly the other parent. Jen comes outside and asks Rhowar for advice on marking everyone, because it takes to long. Rhowar thinks for a second, and waves at the bunker. He tells Jen to go back inside and see for herself. Everyone inside, excluding the twins and Gurshy is now asleep, making it way easier for Jen to mark them. After another solid minute Osira declines the Elementals challenge, and he gets teleported to the Plane of Air.
The surviving people gather around. The Air Elemental is gone, so is Osira. Xerion is holding the remains of Orik. Xerion and Rhowar start talking about if and how they could get Orik back, but Rhowar says he won't help because it's too dangerous. Rhowar walks outside, followed by Gurshy and Zaralenn. Zara asks where Osira went, so she could get revenge. Rhowar doesn't answer, but looks up to the sky, where he sees Osira's body falling. It fell on top of Gurshy, and when it crashed into the floor it covered Zara in blood. Hearing the commotion, Xerion and Jen hurry outside too. There they see Osira's body deformed. Jen looks at the puddle of meat, and discovers some hairs, which she gives to Rhowar. Rhowar scries on the hairs, and finds out they belong to someone named Blaize.
Jen then asks Gurshy to talk in private, to talk about what they want to do. Zara follows them, but Jen knows this. They tell each other their goals, Jen tells him what Zaralenn told her, and Gurshy shares that he has something that might help her with more power, in trade for the second White Dragon egg. At this point Jen points out Zara, and asks her to leave. Zara says no, and after a silent second, Jen agrees and lets her stay. Gurshy tells them he still has a Winged Serpent card.
Jen and Gurshy make a contract, stating Gurshy will use his wish for her, and that Jen will find him the second Dragon egg. During the signing Fadoran comes by to check the contract, and the wish. He greets Zara, who was somewhat shook by his sudden appearance. Gurshy uses the wish:
"I wish for Jennifer Lionheart to get all the powers of a Val'Kyr."
Jen then asks Fadoran to make her a Lich. He agrees, takes her and Gurshy to the Dark Plane, and gathers some materials. Zara patiently awaits in the room. Jen goes and fetches her body, and they run into Ellian, Cayla, and Rhowar. They have a conversation with Ellian, after which Gurshy talks with Rhowar a little. Jen asks Ellian to join Gurshy for a while, and keep her friends safe. They then all proceed to the ritual circle, rune the chieftain, and they transform Jen into a Lich.
Gurshy and Ellian head back to Zara, and explain to her that Jen isn't coming back for a while (two days). They head outside, and back to Xerion. Rhowar had teleported away earlier. Ellian talks to Xerion for a second, telling him Jen is very sorry for leaving abruptly, but tells him she didn't have a choice. They all ask Ellian some questions about who he is, and how he fulfills his "special needs" in this dark plane. Ellian assumes this is about sex, and says he just teleports to this plane once in a while to have sex with some stranger. This flew over Xerion's head, so he asked how he could help with his special needs, thinking they were talking about torturing people. At that point Ellian grabs his hand and starts to walk to a house nearby, saying let's have sex. Xerion is completely flabbergasted, and stops him saying that would be too quick, so Ellian backs off a little.
They discuss what they're gonna do for the time being, and decide they want to blow stuff up. As they walk out the town zara throws back some tnt. They head back to their wagon out in the jungle. Once there, Zara checks in on her turtles Sheldon and Shelly, and Xerion decides Vyaas need punishing for not responding fast enough to them. Ellian gives Gurshy his rose thorn whip to have and use. Ellian starts torturing him, cutting off his fingers, and skinning his arm. Zara is not impressed, and Xerion is angry with Vyaas for screaming. Zara challenges Ellian to do worse, so he picks up his sword, which he has planted in the ground, and in a single swing cuts off her hands. Zara doesn't even blink, and looks at him. Ellian draws his dagger, and shoves it up her jaw. Zara falls back, with blood spouting out of her mouth and chin. Ellian says that death and resurrection are pretty painful, which is ideal for torture. He then resurrects her. Ellian goes to meditate for 10 minutes, while the other two torture Vyaas some more.
When Zara is back Xerion gives the impression he's still not impressed, even after Zara told him what death was like. So Ellian cut his head off. Zara burst out laughing, and asked if he was gonna resurrect him too. Ellian jokingly said no, but kneeled down to start the spell. After 10 minutes Xerion's head wakes up, still detached from his body. He gets frustrated, and even more when Zara pretends to want to throw his head. Xerion demands to be reattached, so Zara does that. Only she, on purpose, places his head back on backwards. Xerion is not amused, so to silence his complaining Ellian beheads him again, once again resurrecting him.
They start to make camp, and turn in for the night after they partied with a lot of booze and some drugs.
The next morning the group starts traveling up the mountain. At some point Endellion and Natasha hear a bird screeching. They went on to investigate, and found a Thunderbird hatch-ling stuck in an egg, half placed in the mist. Discussing if they should save it, Endellion quickly grabbed a feather from the floor. Duncan started to feed it, trying to calm down. At the same time Soda tried to break the egg, so the bird would be free. She slightly touches the mist, but they succeed. They let the bird go free, and leave it there. They continue to travel up the mountain.
A few hours later they start hearing weird screeching noises. Endellion decides to check it out alone. A few hundred feet ahead the pass gets wider, and in the middle of a small opening she sees a huge bird chained down to the floor. Next to it she sees two persons, somewhat resembling Elves, but made of shadows. She goes back, and they decide to attack them.
When the first one was killed, its body dissipates, and then the second one screeched at them. At that moment five more of them emerge from the walls. They keep fighting, and manage to finish them off. Endellion and Soda then start removing the chains from the Thunderbird, and free it. Endellion keeps trying to remove its muzzle, and ends up hanging from it and swinging side to side, until she gets thrown off. Rhowar then throws a lightning bolt at it, opening the muzzle. The bird then flies away.
They continue following the path, and later get ambushed by another 6 Elven shadows, these seem to be slightly stronger. They fight them off, and keep going. They make camp a little further ahead, in a cave made by Rhowar. Soda decided to draw one card, and draws the Joke. She chooses Endellion, who chooses the Mother Queen, and Soda chooses the Tangled Briar.
Endellion tries to figure out what the ants mean, and how far they're willing to go with listening to her commands. As a test she orders one to jump of the cliff, and it does.
The next morning they wake up to an ambush of Lizardfolk. The group fights them off for a while, but they realize there are too many of them. Zara gives up hope and decides that if she has to die, they all have to die too, and she blows herself up. This also killed all the Lizardfolk, Gurshy, and Vyaas. Xerion and Ellian remain alive. Xerion is devastated by the loss of his sister, so he asks Ellian to resurrect her. He tries but fails. This was because she refuses to be resurrected. Xerion begs Ellian to help him, but he has nothing for him. Xerion then leaves on his own, seeking a way to quell the pain.
After a few hours, a portal opens in front of him, and a voice speaks. The voice offers him a way to take away the pain, and so Xerion steps in.
After all that, Ellian returned home.
When they wake up they notice Rhowar is gone. Duncan and Nat make a bet about when they expect him to be back. Duncan said before noon, and Nat after. They mount the ants, and start flying up to the source of the mist. After about three hours flying they get shot at by archers. They head down and face the three shadow Elven archers. When they almost killed the third one, another 10 come forth. They fight them off, and continue their way, when suddenly Rhowar is back. With visible annoyance Nat throws Duncan a money pouch.
They near what seems to be the source, and are met by a large ball of what seems to be shadow fire, flying their way. They wait for a second, to see if more follows, but it seems like it was only a warning shot. They continue downwards, where they see a hot spring, where the mist seems to originate from. The path leading up to it is covered in mist, so they decide to land on the slope above it. When they land another ball flies over their head. They all duck, and wait. In the hot spring they can see a little creature floating. It seem to be a little Dragon.
Endellion decides to send two of her ants into the mist to see who or what's there shooting at them. After just a few seconds, the ants are thrown toward them, dead. From the mist steps a large 13-foot tall knight, covered in thick rusty armor and chains. He leans his great sword on the ground, and remains silent and still. Soda as a joke starts flirting with him, and the knight actually falls for it. He opens the armor on his chest and reveals he is actually a Gnome named Miclin. Soda keeps him busy, as the others go check out the Dragon, although Rhowar just walks around for a bit.
Endellion tries to feed one of the Dragon's heads, and it eats the food. They notice that while it is eating it stops spewing the gas from its mouth, changing the mixture of the gas, and its properties. Without this specific head, the gas no longer hurts when touched. They decided to keep feeding all of its heads for now and call for Rhowar. They ask him if he knows anything about Black Dragons, as none of them do. Rhowar says they shouldn't exist. He tells them of the legends about the Black Dragons.
After that, they all meet up and talk about what they're gonna do about the Dragon, and the Gnome. They discuss some stuff, and they make a plan. Rhowar casts sleep on Miclin, they grab the Dragon and head out. Rhowar casts polymorph on the Dragon and transforms them into three kittens. They discuss what to do with the Dragon now, and determine what's best for both the Dragon and the world. They ask Rhowar who he knows that would want the Dragon. Most of them however would most likely use it for evil. Like his father Fadoran, or Jennifer. They conclude the most suitable destination for the Dragon would be the Order of the Guardian. Rhowar notes that they have an outpost in Highmoon, which is relatively nearby.
As they are about to leave someone comes running, a Snakefolk. He comes closer and stops, breathing heavily. He addresses Soda as Majesty and introduces himself as Selkal Seral. The group is very confused and listens to the boy. He tells them how their city was massacred, and that Soda is now next in line. He hands him the crown and a bag of money. They grant him one of Endellion's ants and send him back home. They hop onto their ants and fly through the night towards Highmoon. The plan is to first drop off the Dragon, and then find Soda's family in Rens, whilst also visiting Natasha's family real quick.
The group left in the deep of the night towards Highmoon, and they arrived there around noon. They landed nearby and came closer on foot. When getting closer they see a lone, robed stranger standing under a broken arch. Once they come close enough they shout out to him. He turns around and welcomes them to Highmoon. This man is Thylian Leafgrove, protector of Highmoon.
They talk with Thylian if they can raise, and protect the baby Black Dragon, and as expected, they can. They hand the Dragon, still in the shape of three kittens, over to some other Elves. Before they handed them over they named the kittens Simba, Whisker, and Shadow. Thylian offers them a place to sleep. Before they go to sleep that night they get some rest in the mead hall. While there a young Elven girl comes up to them and hands them all a bracelet. These bracelets should protect them from the black mist that Black Dragons spew out.
An unlikely pair of adventurers bumped into each other. Well actually, one was about to be tiger lunch, and the other one saved her. A young Flare Elf monk, and a mysterious person of unknown origin. Both had their own path to take, but it just happened to be that their path was the same. As Ceres was making way, she noticed Rose was right behind her, which she did not like. So she forced Rose to walk ahead of her. After not too long, another mysterious robed figure joined them. He was standing besides the road, almost seeming as he was waiting for them. He started walking along with them, as if he knew them, and tried to make conversation. It seemed Rose was mute, and the only word she said was her name. The robed man introduced himself as Rhowar Shadowvoid the Second. At the mention of that name, a bell rung in the back or Rose's head. She'd heard that name before, in connection to the Church of Darkness.
After a while they entered the town of Beluir, where they all entered the Resting Pony, the local tavern. Rose goes and sits with some random Halflings, listening in on whats going on. Meanwhile Rhowar tries to make conversation with Ceres, who introduced herself as Red. They hear all about the Lizardfolk, who started to attack the locals.
After not too long, they head to the inn. On their way they check the message board. There are three notes on it. A father asking for someone to find his daughters favorite stuffed animal, north of the town. An emissary of the Ironsword Company, offering money for any spare Basilisk fangs. And the locals, offering payment for help in driving back the Lizardfolk, and detailing the location of their war camp just west of the town. They continue to the inn, and turn in for the night. Most of them still not planning to even journey together.
Immariel and Pyrce have their evening wedding in the Shadow Elven palace, and hundreds of people attend the festivities, including many individuals from the elemental realm of Flame, satisfying the rules set by the Marriage card. After the wedding, as part of the honeymoon as it were, Immariel takes Pyrce along back to the Dark Demiplane, where Pyrce is sworn into the Shadowpact. Eradean and Morean also returned home with them. The three cousins stay here for now until they devise a plan to get around some of the lasting effects the cards had on them, like the Fiend card that Eradean drew.
In the morning they don't plan anything together. It just so happens they all were heading the same direction, woke up around the same time, left around the same time. What are coincidences right? So they all left west. Red was planning to help the Halflings fight the Lizardfolk, while Red was thinking of going to Ji-Ju temple, much further to the west. So this took them along the same road.
On the way, they encountered a little tiger cub on the road. They kinda watched it, and awaited what would happen, expecting there to be a mama tiger nearby. And indeed there was. However before anything happened, a collection of battle cries could be heard from behind. A group of Halfling bandits charged at them from within the jungle. They fended them off, no problem, and continued to the war camp nearby. Once there they got welcomed and hung around for a bit. The three of them were talking. Rose wanted to help the Halflings, Red wanted to go her own way towards the temple and knowledge, and Rhowar was kinda just trying to keep them together, trying to make them see that they could be of great use to each other.
They conclude that they were of little use to the Halflings right now, so they were going to the temple first and then come back. Before they leave they spot a small group of 4 glowing tortoises, which they take with them. After some magical inspection, it seems that the tortoises have two spells on them, a mental protections spell, and a linking spell. This means someone could be watching them, so Rhowar put the animals in his bag of holding.
They continued their way to Midway Town, which was adequately named for being halfway through the jungle. They made camp just outside the town, as Red didn't like crowds that much, especially Elven. Rhowar noticed Rose didn't need to sleep, just like him, and they made a little small talk during the night.
Skylar found herself being pushed off the edge of the City in the Sky by a group of guards. As she was plummeting down she suddenly found herself in pure darkness. Ellian spoke to her, offering her life, in turn for a favor or two. After agreeing, Sklyar found herself in the middle of a desert, atop a hill, accompanied by a strange girl. The two exchanged a few words and discusses why they were there. The girl was Cayla, a daughter of Ellian, and she just got sent on her first adventure, and Skylar was here to help her. The two together defeated a strange Ice Sorceress, and after that Skylar got rewarded with her freedom.
The group left for Rens early in the morning. They spend a few days flying. While flying they notice a new castle in Crescent Bay, that suddenly came up overnight.
In the morning the group woke up to the loud gurgling of several Frogfolk, trying to ambush them. They took care of the lot, and their chieftain. They looted them, and found that the chief had a nice magic staff. Afterwards, Rhowar and Rose went into the town to buy Rose a journal, so she could communicate with the two of them.
They went on on their way to the temple. On the way they talked a bit, asking each other some stuff. They learned about where Rose came from, namely a grove, and that the leader/owner of the temple and head of the Order of the Guardian, was in fact Rhowar's mother, Arcania. Rhowar didn't tell them who or what she is, however.
The lot made their way with a steady pace, until they spotted a lone scout, hiding on a high tree branch nearby. They made eye contact, and the scout hopped behind the tree stem. Rhowar shouted at the scout, trying to make contact. The scout came forward, and came a little closer. The group asked where she was from and why she was spying on them. She told them she was a scout from a nearby Tigerfolk city, watching them to see if they were a threat. The group's attention was peaked, as they all had a reason to visit this city. The city was Flamecanopy, which was rumored to be the Tigerfolk capital, filled with knowledge and wonder. The lot ask the scout if they'd be allowed to visit, and she says she'll have to go back and check with the guard.
After about ten minutes, the scout came jumping back across the tree branches, and tells them the good news. The party is allowed to come and visit Flamecanopy, a city well hidden, and not really known to be a publicly accessible place. They follow the scout deeper into the jungle, until she halts. She looks up, and from the canopy above them four long thick ropes dropdown. They grab the ropes, and they get pulled up, and up, and up. High up in the trees they slow down, and a large city becomes visible, hidden in the treetops. They get pulled up towards a platform with several guards on it and step on it. The scout now finally introduces herself as Anji, a young and ambitious scout, and she starts giving them a small tour. She shows them the market, the library, and the amphitheater.
While Rose heads to the theater, Red and Rhowar head for the library, where Red does some research into fire magic, and Elementalists in general, as well as some powerful artifacts. Rose is entertaining a child as she waits for a magic show to start, a show hosted by "The Magical Jodara". Red and Rhowar head back out, and bump into Indigo Patch. As they get to talking, they started hearing loud roars. They make their way to the entrance balcony, and they see a Dragon flying toward them. The group instructs the guards to set a trap using ropes attached to the ballistas, and it slows the Dragon down. The Dragon makes it through, and lands. After a while, the party manages to kill it.
When the Dragon started its attack, the city guards blocked most passages and made people stay where they are. This means that Rose was kept in the amphitheater till the attack was done. Indigo bids his farewells to Red and Rhowar, and before Rhowar knew it Red had sneaked off and left on her own, as she had found this party to not be too productive. Rhowar informed Rose, who just continued on her own as well. Over the next few days, Red arrived at Ji-Ju Temple, where she learns many of the things she was looking for, and eventually she returns home. Rose on the other hand continued her travels, helping people on the way.
Once in Rens, they split. Nat and Soda visit their parents, while the rest kinda stayed back. Once they regrouped they drew some cards from Rhowar's deck. Some of the more noteworthy cards were the Winged Serpent (Endellion), the Fiend (Duncan), the Hidden Truth (Natasha), the Vision (Natasha), and the Crows (Soda). When Soda drew the Crows, instantly Natasha and all her stuff got disintegrated. The dust that was left slowly disappeared as well. As to be expected the party freaked out. Rhowar calmed them down and told them to just continue. Obviously, he knew something the others don't. What he knew the others didn't, were the visions that Natasha had seen, and shared with him. After some doubt, they decide to continue and leave for Sizzle Rock.
Later that day, though Rhowar tried to avoid it, Duncan got murdered by a Tiefling. Then when Endellion made a wish for the four of them to be together again, happy, she and Soda quickly found themselves dead as well, as they four reunited in the afterlife. The giant ant that was accompanying Selkal returned to the wild, and after a second search for Soda, he figured out that she had died, breaking the effects of the card. The Snakefolk are left regent-less and in disarray. Rhowar himself went on new travels.
