In the village she grew up in women were not allowed to learn anything about combat. Luckily for her, her father Barrin wanted his girl to be able to defend herself and taught her everything he knew. Because metal weapons were hard to get for commoners they fought with their own bodies and so she learned all kinds of martial arts. In the city any prisoners were used to fill the fighting pit, where they would be put to death by fighting the most awful creatures, Ceres didn't like the pit but attendance was mandatory. When one day the youngest of her two brothers accidentally leaned too far and fell in she jumped in after him and to save him showed her skill in combat. To avoid getting her and her family killed, she ran away from the village taking only what she could carry. After months in the wild doing whatever she could to survive she found a small village of forest dwellers. They taught her how to be in tune with nature. To everyone's surprise she had a powerful connection with the elements. Despite everything she takes pride in being a flare-elf and decides to start learning the element of fire. Now, armed with knowledge and skill she travels the world looking for wisdom. And to hopefully someday return to her city and end the oppression that her family still lives under.
