I was born, 20 years ago, in a small village in Crescent Bay, well not really born I guess, nobody knew where I was born. My parents dumped me in front of the church in Whitmoor. People didn't really take care of me, they gave me food and a roof, but that was about it. The people in the church were afraid of me because of my "other side", my Skinwalker side. Most of my youth I spend wiping floors and cleaning the temple. When I got a little older I learned to control the beast inside of me, so they finally let me go outside of the temple. The people in the town quite liked me, but I couldn't tell them my secret. The people from the church threatened me with empty threats, although I didn't realize this back then. Especially the girls from the village quiet like me, but I never could really connect with them due to my secret.
Jen once hooked up with Endellion when she was 15, and had a relationship for a while, until Endellion disappeared.
One day when I was walking over the streets I encountered a magician. He asked me if I'd like to test my luck, and draw three magical cards. I said I would if he went first. Rhowar drew the Midwife, at which instantly a young baby appeared in Jen's arms. It was their newborn Human son. Jen wasn't ready for this, so Rhowar offered to take care of him. Jen then drew three cards, the Juggler, the Lost, and the Teamster. Rhowar then left her alone.
Later that day when I was cleaning I noticed a door I hadn't seen before. Behind the door was a basement. The basement was filled with hundreds of books, among which some about Skinwalkers, about people like me. I spend weeks hidden in the basement, reading about dark sorts of magic and legends of untold stories. But the most interesting part was the gate that wouldn't open. One day I managed to steal the keys to the gate from a priest, and open the gate. Behind the gate was another staircase leading down. At the end I found an altar. When I approached the altar a voice spoke to me, he told me things about myself, and my birth parents that nobody ever told me. He told me that I was made for bigger things, as long as I was open for it. He told me that if I wanted to be strong, I only needed to swear my loyalty to him in blood, by signing a contract, and to do one thing for him. I did it without thinking twice. I had to pay in blood, this was the price i had to pay. Offer him blood every single day. I also took a book from the library, a dark grimoire. My patron granted me an amulet imbued with a Liches powers, and told me to turn myself into a Banshee using the dark grimoire. I gave the amulet to my cat familiar to keep it safe.
The contract I signed read:
"By signing you give up your privacy to me. When I call, you answer. When I ask of something you will do the best you can do, as long as you don’t bring yourself into serious harm. Don’t swear oaths or sign contracts without my knowledge and consent. You shall never harm anyone part of the Shadow Pact or any of its subgroups."
The quest he gave me was to find a Black Dragon for him, and tame it.
Now I left in search of myself, my strength, and my heritage. I left towards the south, towards the marsh. I thought that with my new patron friend and my new powers my mind would be strong enough to resist the fog, but it wasn't. Next thing I know I'm in the middle of the jungle with my donkey, not knowing where I was for the last fourteen days. Slowly I make my way to Beluir, to get some rest.
She now also has a ring given to her by Fadoran. It opens a portal to the planar refuge in the Dark Demiplane. When cast in the Demiplane, it goes back to the exact spot Jen came from. The ring is bound to her Banshee body, meaning it appears on any body she possesses.
As long as Jens body has positive HP, she can posses the body. If it is below 0 HP, it first has to be healed with normal heal spells.
Conversation between Jen and Fadoran when they first meet face to face:
"What do you get out of this deal?
Mostly fun. You're an interesting person... you're destined for greater things, and I'd like to a have an investment.
So are you just gonna watch me?
Yes.
Am I the only one you follow?
Maybe I have more, persons.
But do you?
Yes.
Can they see you? *Nods to the party*
As far as I'm aware not, only few can see ethereal people.
What do you think of them?
They're looking for great things.
Is it worth it to hang around?
If they continue like this they will find great power in their campaign. You can share in this power, and where needed I will guide you.
Can I trust them?
Can they trust you?
Probably not.
I noticed you thought about gathering humanoid skulls?
Yes. that's right.
If you want I can give you an easy place to store them, as I have my own plane, that nobody can find.
Of course, I can't say no to that.
Fair enough.
*teleports to Dark Demiplane*
This is my plane, you can place a token here so you can find it back with teleport spells.
*gives Jen a ring*
*ties cloth piece to the tree*
*waves staff, making a building for Jen to store her skulls*
So you're just doing this because I am interesting and I have a bright future ahead?
Yeah, I' m trying to invest in allies.
Are you preparing for something, a war or something?
Well, I've been noticing a certain little owl, your friend Orik knows of him.
Is this owl going to be a problem in the near future?
I really don' t know, he is a whats the word, very curious being. I don' t think you will have any trouble with him soon tho.
But he is an enemy of ours?
Well, he is an ally of Orik, and I haven' t ~met~ him. But he could be trouble for the world. But don' t you worry about that yet, maybe you should get stronger.
I' m planning on that.
Before I send you back, I wanna teach you a rune that's going to help you with the sacrifices for your dark grimoire,
*shows rune, and explains rules*
Well thank you.
*waves staff, POOF!*
