A elementalist is only proficient with staff weapons. Further a elementalist is proficient with light and medium armor, but no shields.
At 1st level a elementalist has to choose his element, from which he draws his powers. The element that can be chosen are: Air, Earth, Fire, and Water.
At 1st level, the elementalist forms a bond with a guardian. The elementalist is able to summon an elemental being, corresponding with his element. This guardian will always protect the elementalist, and obey his commands. The guardian functions as the druid's animal companion, and can be chosen from the druid's list. The difference is that the guardian also takes on aspect of the element the elementalist specializes in.
Element Special
Air Gain a fly speed equal to base land speed.
Earth Gain DR 10/.
Fire Gain fire immunity.
Water Water breathing and walking.
Starting at level 1, the elementalist learns to manipulate her element. At every even level thereafter, the elementalist learns new ways to do this, or can choose to learn a secondary, tertiary or even quaternary element. At each even level the elementalist gains one 'skill point' to distribute between the four elements. The elementalist can never have more ranks in any element than her main element. For example: At level 18 a elementalist can have 5 ranks in both fire and water. Or 4 ranks in air, 3 in water and 3 in earth. Below you can find what each rank unlocks.
Air
The elementalist can cast breeze at will, as well as longstrider, gusting sphere.
The elementalist can cast calm air, fog cloud, obscuring mist at will.
The elementalist can cast hurricane blast, river of wind, wind wall at will.
The elementalist can cast shifted steps at will.
Earth
The elementalist can cast root at will, as well as stone fist, stone shield.
The elementalist can cast spike stones, stone discus(only slashing ) at will. (These spells are made of crystal instead of stone)
The elementalist can cast move earth, shifting sand, soften earth at will.
The elementalist can cast wall of lava at will.
The elementalist can cast iron skin, wall of iron at will.
Fire
The elementalist can cast spark at will, as well as fire belly, produce flame.
The elementalist can cast fire snake
The elementalist can cast burning gaze, fire seeds at will
The elementalist can cast chain lightning, lightning bolt, stormbolts at will.
The elementalist can cast firestorm, wall of fire at will.
Water
The elementalist can cast create water at will, as well as aqueous orb, water breathing.
The elementalist can cast creeping ice, ice spears, winter's grasp at will.
The elementalist can cast snowball, snow shape at will.
The elementalist can cast diminish plants, plant growth, wood shape, warp wood at will.
The elementalist can cast blood boil, hold monster at will.
