Intelligent items were once sentient beings, who have now turned into items by various means, either having their souls trapped in an item, or being changed into one. Alternatively, this can also include weapons that someone got given intelligence.
In his hand he has a staff, it looks like it's made of a black type of wood. It is decorated with Elvish engravings. On the tip, there is a dark but clear orb, with a substance in it from the Elemental Plane of Shadow itself.
This staff can cast Quickened Reach Enlarged Shadow Step at will.
Nyxia was once a simple Shadow Elf and a friend to Fadoran from his youth. When she was only at half her life, she fell tragically ill, with an incurable disease among Elves. Fadoran wouldn't let her die though. Before she really died, Fadoran crafted a beautiful staff and transferred her into this staff. Nyxia looks out for Fadoran, and sometimes even teleports him, disregarding his annoyance with this. She is still a young soul and naive.
This weapon looks like a normal ninjato with a bronze guard, it has a black hilt spun over with white threads. The hilt is made out of the souls of thousands of Lightning Elementals. The weapon itself is rumored to have charges and will one day be used up, however, this has never been either confirmed or denied.
Within a single second of unsheathing the blade, it lets the wielder fire a single lightning strike from the blade. If he is not fast enough it get pulled back in by an unstoppable force. The blade itself is only a pointing mechanism. The hilt, however, is very special. The weapon has to be used with two hands because it takes a characters full concentration to unsheathe and point the blade fast enough before the hilt pulls the sword back. Its stats are (2d8/17-20x3) and it has a range of 60 ft. Using this sword with a full attack action, you can always make 6 attacks, regardless of your BAB, or any bonuses.
Once, when the spirit of Masamune visited the Lightning Plane, it is rumored the realm was almost sucked dry of Elementals. In a flash of brilliance, it is said that he combined all of this electrical power into a sheath of sheer lightning. To contain the power within, he made a layer of Earth Elemental essences over the sheath, grounding the lightning powers of the inner sheath.
The blacksmith only made a single item with all this power and it remains in use till this very day. This hilt was however on itself is not a weapon. It required a way of guiding the power from the sheath to the unfortunate target. This was solved by making a ninjato that’s sole purpose is to guide the power that is in the sheath, towards its opponent and recharge after the charge has been fired. The user does not have to make direct contact with the person it is trying to damage with lighting since he can send the charge over a short distance.
When being wielded the user can hear all the Elementals yearning for freedom, among them the most powerful, Lectric. Fadoran found this weapon and tries to limit how much he uses it, this is because sometimes it is too powerful, even for him.
This scorpion whip looks like just a normal whip, with a wooden handle and a blood-iron rope. But when the whip is used there are 5 steel tips that are flung out. On the steel tips is a poison, the weapon poisons the being that has been struck with it.
When used, the whip does 2d8 slashing damage and 2d6 of poison damage. Because a Succubus is trapped in the scorpion whip, any male being that picks it up, is dominated as if a dominate person spell was cast on the target. He can make a will save to negate this, with a save DC of 26. Further, any male being that picks it up is also affected by the dominate person spell, same rules apply. The duration of the spell is permanent, as long as he still touches the whip. The victim also doesn’t get any extra tries on making the save. If the target makes the save, he can not be affected by this effect for 2 minutes. When it senses a good being it starts to wag in the hand of the wielder.
The boomerang is made of a bone, once part of an Aasimar. It’s bright white with some darker zebra-like stripes.
Since it’s the bone of an Aasimar it deals double its total damage to any evil being. After it hits its target the boomerang disappears, only to reappear in the thrower's hand, this allows him to make multiple attacks in the same round. When it hits its target, the target becomes petrified as if with a basilisk’s gaze attack, the target can try a fortitude save, with a DC of 39.
Once upon a time, there was an Aasimar, Orifiel. Orifiel was fiery, quick-tempered, and forceful but always fair. She gave her life while protecting good from evil. One day, Orifiel came across an evil Witch. The Witch made her fight him. She was winning, but then the Witch cast a spell. The spell made the flesh of the Aasimar deteriorate and the only thing that was left was a bone in the shape of a boomerang. While the evil Witch laughed, Orifiel's screams could be heard from the bone. It took some time for the screams to fade away. The Witch grinned, knowing his plan to trap the Aasimar was a success.
As an Aasimar's purpose is to destroy evil, she allows Fadoran to use her for this, who found her mere days after she got turned into a boomerang. However, she often complains about his 'methods' and what he does in his spare time. Sadly she cannot leave Fadoran, seen to the facts that only a single bone of her body remains, and she lost her former powers.
The blades of these scimitars are covered in runes of a lost language. It is a deep dark purple of color, and the edges are slightly glowing.
These swords negate all armor, shield, and natural armor bonus to AC on the target.
These Nighstshade twins had been defeated by Fadoran a long time ago. About 6000 years ago they managed to get into his plane from the Shadow Plane. After a quiet long and devastating battle Fadoran managed to beat them, and transform them into these swords. They never complied, but over time Fadoran became dominant over them, and now they listen to him. Many years later the twins became dormant, and Fadoran gave the blades to his golem.
This weapon resembles an earth breaker. The hilt is made of a single bone(looks like a leg bone) and is partly covered with thick muscles. The hilt itself is mainly covered in pieces of skin making it easy to grip. The top part varies a lot in appearance mainly changing upon the amount of blood it comes into contact with.
This weapon can only be wielded by someone with a strength score of 18 or higher. For every attack it makes with more damage than 20, this increases by one. The weapons base damage also increases with 4, and a penalty of 2 on attack rolls. The counter for this resets after not attacking for 2 minutes, and it reverts to its original stats. This effect only triggers when attacking someone who has blood.
In his time, the Orc Uvogin, was the only fighter capable of winning entire wars on its own. If legends are to be believed his skin could only be penetrated by the toughest steel by the strongest fighters of the realm. Once he was over his prime however he grew bored of practice and just went into fights without the slightest thought. It is rumored that in his final battle his opponents still weren’t able to wound him through normal means and instead made him ingest larvae in order to kill him. After his death, his skin and muscles were transformed into a massive hammer capable of bolstering the rage of the wielder.
Due to him not being any sort of caster, he is mostly dormant, and only sometimes can be heard yelling in battle. Fadoran acquired this weapon a thousand years ago and gave it to his golem.
This great sword has a bright red blade with Fiendish runes on it, indicating Fiendish powers. The handle however looks like a void like substance.
The wielder gains a + 10 bonus on stealth. On will he can also ignite the sword in flames, adding half his total damage per attack as fire damage, when he does this he loses his stealth bonus.
Krupp Gustav was a tiny imp with a massive personality. He always wanted to leave an impact wherever he went. His voice was high and his ego was enormous but his bark was always worse than his bite.
One day the tiny imp stumbled upon a master craftsman that remains anonymous for obvious reasons. The craftsman was known to make all kinds of armor and weapons but was never paid well enough, at least that’s what the craftsman thought.
The imp was very capable of concealing his presence and one day when the craftsman was babbling on and on about how he wasn’t paid enough to work 10 hours a day for his entire life the imp saw his chance. He used a variation of the magic jar spell to transform his soul into the materials the dwarf was using to smith a sword. Instead of the intended effect that the imp though this would have(him controlling the object and increasing his bite) It, however, caused something far greater. The material made a place for Krupp’s ego, and grew at least two sizes. The material that once forged the sword changed to bright red and parts (mainly the handle of the sword) changed to all-consuming darkness.
After being the sword for 3000 some years, Fadoran found it. They struck a deal, Fadoran could use the sword, who gave it to Ignis, one of his Eidolons. And in turn Krupp could participate in his research, and kill people.
A staff made of a golden metal engraved with drawingsof flames. On the head, there is a ball of fire held between spikes.
When touching someone with the tip the target gains fast healing 8 as if the spell Infernal Healing, except that is has no influence and isn't influence by alignment. Besides that, it has double the effect on Flame elementals, half the effect on Water elementals, and no effect on Ice elementals.
