Founded by Masamune, envisioned by the strength and valor of the sword, the Order of the Sword was meant for the strong hearted, and fierce of soul. Only the strongest warriors were shown their ways.
When the dawn of the Catfolk empire began, a mighty Catfolk warrior protected the small village then called Shingo. He was a war veteran that now, in his later years, protected the village from bandits and hunted animals for sport and food. His weapons were all maintained and forged by his oldest friend that served with him in the wars he has fought and who had given up the ways of the sword after getting injured in the war.
One day when a group of bandits came to raid the village the samurai warrior’s new blade was not ready yet and the warrior died. The friend of the warrior survived and only found out his friend had died three days later when he finished forging the sword. Blaming himself for the fate that fell upon his friend he kept forging blade after blade until he died. However, his regrets never faded and even in death, he kept forging blade after blade after blade. The materials, however, were not as easy to acquire as soon as he passed on. He traveled through multiple planes of existence, gathering materials from every plane he visited. He made multiple legendary swords only to be used by warriors of great skill. All with great potential for warfare, but all only able to be used by the best of warriors.
This famed blacksmith’s story is told by many of the Catfolk elders to their sons and even in the earliest days of this tale, there were those who believed and those who doubted the very existence of this entity. However, a few of his swords have appeared over the material plane, and even some beyond. His swords always look kind off Eastern, contrary to normal weapons.
