UNITED NATION – A Disarmament, Demobilization, and Reintegration (DDR) management process had been emphasized countless times by the delegate to tackle the existence of the Lord's Resistance Army (LRA). As it is a usual process conducted by UN entities and warring parties, DDR would never be an easy task to do.
Delegates are concerning the child soldiers, arms trade and several of the illicit trades conducted by the LRA. In spite of that matter, rest assured UN peacekeeping process are being proposed as part of the conflict-management process, although it is need to be ensure that the UNPK Personnel, with a principle on the minimum use of force as possible, could work this time to help the national authority to combat the LRA. Nonetheless, it still might be a safer solution, whilst several of the other delegates are agreeing on the notion of intelligence sharing with the established NATO system, as it may be considered that more foreign roles are being involved in this matter. To sum up, as the time approaches an end, the council task now will be only to assess the current condition more properly whilst deciding into a more integrative action and idea to solve the issue.
