This year's theme for Parahyangan Model United Nations is Reinforcing International Cooperations: Eradicating Barriers to Conform Global Peace. The reinforcement of international cooperations is highlighted in the United Nations (UN) statement saying that, “Our new agenda must be backed by the political will, commitment, partnerships and financial support to help usher in a new era of peace on a global level.” Though peace is often defined as the absence of war, it can also be defined as a condition of welfare for all; where people have access to fulfill their basic human rights, including the rights to life, rights for education, the rights for healthcare, and many more. Hence, any problems that hinder the realization of global peace are seen as barriers to actualize the wellbeing for all that can only be achieved through international cooperations.
