Holding Children and Women Accountable of the LRA.

In creating a peaceful and better future in Central Africa post-LRA, would generate many nations in proposing many scenarios in which LRA are eradicated. Nations such as Burundi and France pointed out reintegration in those who were kidnapped by the LRA. Solutions of which is of many nations’ consideration is amongst foreign aids, confidence building, et cetera. Nigeria mentioned the treaty in which could preserve the peace. In reintegration for the members of LRA, China and many other nations has proposed DDR as a solution, one of which is pushing defects of the LRA, those who are kidnapped and forced to do LRA’s Bidding, could trade their position for a reintegration system in which education and healthcare would be obtained. The DDR mechanism pushes children to defect to the LRA and joins the society with no accountability, even though they have undertaken human rights violations. China pushes the notion of how children should not be held accountable as they are the future of the generation, but could not be said for women, as they could be to blame according to their violations. Those who experience punishment are only adults and seniors of the LRA, China later clarifies in accordance with the mandate of ICC.

This reintegration requires funds in order to be perfectly conducted, now there are some discussions on whether foreign aids should be utilized. Many delegates point out the allocation of foreign ads, as there were many solutions other than reintegration, such as deployments of capable troops, negotiations, et cetera. South Sudan and other nations prefer to weigh on both, as the two are important in building and preserving peace. Nations also suggested that these funds would also be monitored to prevent many more discrepancies and conflicts within the global community.
