Lack of Implementations, Poor Children Suffer from Works
The child labors issue is not new for government and international organizations. Countries have been working together to solve this problem by having discussions like what has been done today, 2021/27/02 by ILO to talk about the lack of implementations and executions by the government to tackle child labors issues. Nations have been taking actions by changing international regulations into local laws to support children from labors activities. The problems arise when the implementations of the regulations are weak due to the circumstances that happen in the nation, such as corruption. A nation’s lack of execution will affect children because there will be no strict monitoring by the government for companies who use children as their workers.
Nation’s lack of execution also happens in the weak data transparency that does not reflect the current situations of the problem. This problem is blocking legal enforcement because international organizations could not give the right help to the nations due to the lack of transparency. The other problem of the lack of implementations as said by one of the delegates is that people who work as the trainer from the government, who actually want to help is having a cultural block and they do not understand the real situations that happen in the hazardous environment. Trainers have to be present and understand the circumstances of the children. If this problematic procedure still happens, it can affect children labors because they could not achieve the right amounts of skills and knowledge given by the trainers due to the cultural block.
International organizations have to step up and help countries to solve children labors that caused by poverties, the lack of educations and healthcare, and also the lack of implementations by the government.
