ART LESSON SUMMARY

Date: January 17- 22, 2022

Activities: In this week, you reviewed about the different sizes and how these can be shown in a drawing. You then studied about the different lines, which are shown in the photos.

For classwork, you were tasked to use different lines in matching drawn fishes and their homes according to color. Draw the fishes, the sea grasses and corals, write the words like "loopy line", and make it clean and beautiful with colours. Kindly upload to the album.

Activities: In this week, you reviewed about the geometrical shapes. You then learned about the element of size in Art, that size is commonly connected with scale, and that it is an important tool for artists to add emphasis and interest to their designs. You also had the different sizes and their terms (see picture).

Your classwork is to draw any three same objects with sizes of small, medium, and large. At the bottom of your work, you have to write the sentence, "My differently sized ________________ (example: toys)." Make it clean and beautiful with colours. Kindly upload to the album.

Activities: In this week, you learned about several geometric shapes such as rectangles, sphere, cylinder, pentagon and the like. You also identified shapes that are used in sample artworks.

Your task is to make a drawing of anything that you like (can be animals, fruits, toys, scenery, etc.) that is made up of different shapes. Make sure to color beautifully and neatly all the drawings that you do. Kindly send a clear photo of your visual output to the album.

Activities: In this week, you learned the way of drawing through dots, also called stippling. You also identified things that are natural and man- made, and identified the types of lines. Watch the video for more types of lines

For your classwork, you were tasked to complete pages 16 and 17 of your Visual Art book. Make sure to color beautifully and neatly all the drawings you do. Kindly send photos of these pages on or before Monday next week, December 06, 2021.

Activities: You learned the words such as community, white space and background. You also observed artworks showing different communities.

For your classwork, the task is to draw your community. Objects in your artwork can be houses, other buildings, trees, people, pets, cars and many others. Make sure to color everything including the background with no white space. Use dark and light colors, too.

Activities: You learned the vocabulary in your book page 56 such as coloured pencil, darker, light, man- made, nature, shading, sharpen, and wrist. You also saw how is shading done. Watch the video for practice.

For your classwork, the task is to apply shading to an apple. Remember to use dark and light shades of one color. Please send a clear photo of you artwork to the Line album.
