With over 7 years of teaching experience in public schools, I have gained specific experience as an instructor for middle, secondary, and post-secondary institutions in the field of Reading and English for various diverse populations. My most recent position as an Educational Analyst for IT/Educational software design affords me the opportunity to consult with school districts to develop “best practices” to meet the needs of their students. As an instructor, my goals have been devoted to using data to track student achievement from infusion of reading strategies and technology into classroom learning. As part of this goal, I have worked with districts and institutional communities to establish a practice of standards-based instruction and the alignment of assessments, both formative and summative, to state educational goals. Additionally, I am also an online instructor for Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth.
