Serafin, John

John Serafin received his BA from Mansfield University and his MA from Rutgers University. He is currently employed at the Warren County Prosecutor’s Office in New Jersey. He is a Detective Lieutenant and supervises the Major Crime Unit, the Special Victim’s Unit and the Narcotics Task Force. Due to his training as a Traffic Accident Reconstructionist he also coordinates the County’s Serious Collision Analysis and Response Team and is the Commander of the County Tactical Response Team. Besides his law enforcement career, he is a twenty-two year veteran of the US Armed Forces and is currently a member of the New Jersey National Guard. He has previously taught criminal justice courses for Columbia College. This is the first course he has taught for NCC and the first course he has taught on line.
