There was a huge bang in the kitchen. I turned my head to see what happened, but the lights went off. It flicked on two minutes later, but what stood in front of me made me want to shout. My friend was lying on the ground, unconsciously. “What happened!” I shouted as tears ran down my face. My heart shattered to pieces as I looked around the dead body wondering if there were any clues. There was nothing. All around me was pitch darkness, my friend and my hand as I smoothly touched her. There was nothing I could do.
