Taking the Test

Drabble - Kenzie Nguyen (Landell Elementary School, Fifth Grade)

My pencil flew across the assessment page, furiously scribbling on the final questions. I’d been dreading taking this math test and receiving my score. It was extremely easy to make small mistakes, which was why I would have to be careful. Sweat dripping down my face, I finished the last problem and let out a relieved sigh. The hard part was over, now to check my work. I reconfirmed my answers. All good. I confidently got out of my seat, striding to the teacher’s desk. I placed it down on the already plentiful stack.

There was no turning back now.
