Hi 5th/6th Grade BHA Families!
Our day was filled with lots of interesting & engaging conversations that really made the time fly by. I hope the Students are able to share something new they learned today. Would love to know if they do!
Please note that next week we will be celebrating RESURRECTION WEEKEND in our IEW Class, so please feel free to send nut-free snacks or treats to share. I will provide Easter themed paper plates, napkins, decor, and worship music celebrating our Savior.
Lastly, I have a favor to ask! Our end of year Class Raffle is approaching. This is when the Students "cash" in their bank book points for raffle tickets and get a chance to earn some really cool prizes. I am asking for donations of items I can raffle off. It can be anything from a $5 In-N-Out Gift Card to a board game to some cool books or anything else you know your child and their friends would enjoy. Please email me at magda.ayala.branches@gmail.com or text me at 617.901.7722 with what you will be able to donate. I need all donations by May 9th. Your help would be so appreciated and would ensure the Students have an enjoyable and memorable end of year experience. Many thanks!
Blessings,
Mrs. AyalaHA FYI
P.S. Amongst all the fun we had, I completely forgot to take photos today! So sorry about that!

Opened class with a review of our previous Lent Devotionals. We then read this week's Lent Devotional along with John 13:1-17, which led to a discussion on Jesus humbling himself to wash the feet of His disciples, including the disciple who would betray Him the very next day. We talked about remembering that even we meet was created in the image of God and the importance of treating others more importantly than ourselves by using kind and respectful words. Miah G. lovingly opened the class in prayer.
We finished this Unit on Modern Conveniences by reviewing the 3 lessons on Sewing Machines, Modern Appliances, and Clocks. Students were able to share their findings from their Modern Appliances worksheet which included a discovery that these appliances save them days worth of work each week! We then tested their knowledge with a fun table quiz game that ended with a neck and neck battle. Great work, Table 3!!!
