The Guild received a request to travel to New Mexico to protect an ancient relic that had recently been discovered, until agents from the Vatican were able to arrive to transport it to safety. The Guild House was under siege by the rival gangs known as The Deadbolt Gang and the Gods of Fear.
The Guild managed to hold off the gangs both due to their skill in combat, and their skill in subterfuge, managing to encourage the gangs to fight each other and therefore be distracted from their assaults on the Guild House. However, in the meantime, it was discovered that although the relic they had travelled to protect was in a sealed box, it's effects could reach beyond containment, and several Guild members over the weekend became branded with 'The Mark of Cain', which made them aggressive to all around them. It was not unique to any one race, seemingly targeting one of each race present. However, when the Marked Guild Agent touched the box that contained the relic, the mark and it's effects faded from them, and it became clear these acted as some sort of magical locking mechanism. Indeed, once all five sigils on the box were removed, the box was able to be opened, and a knife was discovered inside, which is believed to have been the First Blade, used by Cain (no relation to the Guild Agent) to kill Abel (no relation to the Guild Agent). the box was resealed to be collected by the Vatican Agents.
During the weekend, several ongoing threats were encountered in various ways. A final showdown between Guild Agent Lord Rochester and Lycomedes of the Apollo's Gaze saw the victory go to Lord Rochester and his allies, and what appears to be the total defeat of the Apollo's Gaze. Meanwhile, Ordo Dracul struck several decisive blows against the Guild, starting with the murder of Guild Agent Marquis Jasper Delarosa, and leading on to the kidnap of all Guild vampires via a teleportation ritual, aided by Guild Agent Heather Rosenthorne. While all Guild Agents were rescued in this instance, it has spread a feeling of unease at how easily they were able to breach the Guild's defences.
Continuing the hunt that was started at New Jersey with the Jersey Devil, an Awakened Human who seems to specialise in hunting cryptids, known as Jonny Thunder, approached the Guild for help hunting the creature commonly known as the Chupacabra. The hunting mission was a success.
A new enemy was also unveiled. There had been trouble brewing with issues in the Hellenic underworld for some time, but the Guild discovered it was due to something known as 'The Blight', which manifests as orange light or flowers and seems to interact with souls, trapping them and preventing them from reaching their correct destination. A mission into Hades allowed the Guild to destroy the part of the Blight that was affecting the portal to the mortal realm, but time will tell if that was enough to deal with the problem once and for all.
