Over the years, there have been some Humans who have transcended mortality. Whether gifted with divine power, bathing in the blood of innocents, or taking over younger bodies, these humans have been alive for hundreds of years. They bring valuable knowledge to the Guild, as well as unique fighting styles, but most Immortals are distrustful of new technology, believing the old ways are far superior.

Extra Special Rules
The Quickening - Whilst all Immortals possess an extended lifespan, they also possess energy they call ‘the Quickening’. This is natural by-product of their long lives and it is formed from all their past experiences. This energy is transferrable and, upon death, another Immortal can feed on ‘the Quickening’ to absorb some of that energy for themselves. If an Immortal strikes a ‘Coup de Grace’ on another Immortal and that immortal dies as a result, they can perform a short rite for two rounds of Concentration to absorb one character skill possessed by said Immortal, as long as they have all the prerequisites for that skill. This may only be done once per event. You must have a Referee present at the death in order to claim this extra skill.
Psychic Defence - The psychic energy of the Quickening can be used in defence of its host. This is really only effective against long distance weapons however, and by all means does not make them invulnerable to such attacks, but it can be enough to close the distance on distant enemies. Therefore, Immortals gain ‘Damage Reduction 2’ against all range attacks.
