GHC Core Competencies and Purpose
GHC understand that there are key attributes in team members that promote positive, effective, and successful organizations—fostering positive outcomes, supporting staff retention, and ensuring quality services. GHC has developed a comprehensive list of abilities that each staff and team member should regularly demonstrate in their everyday practices. Strategic thinking, collaboration, mission-driven, innovation, communication, knowledge of civic engagement, problem-solving, ownership of the quality of work, expertise in content, building relationships, and the supervision of others are critical components in the GHC framework of Core Competencies. These competencies aim to identify capable leaders and staff and put the right professionals in positions that align with their skills and best fit the organization's needs. GHC staff members are asked to consistently reflect on their professional actions and how they align with the GHC competencies. GHC staff members should receive a formal evaluation annually that considers the eleven GHC competencies in relation to thier own work.
