Rationale
GHC recognizes that in addition to professional development and trainings staff need individualized supports in the areas of technical skills and support. This means that on an ongoing basis, staff should be provided with opportunities to engage with content area experts to enhance their knowledge and skills as it relates to his or her specific content areas. On a Monthly or Semi-weekly basis, content area managers should host Content Area Clinic (CACs) that staff can and should attend to better understand their role- specific content and technical compliance and procedures.CACs are not mandatory but are set up for individual support and assistance as needed by staff or determined by a supervisor for special purposes. Direct Supervisors or Partner Network Partners should also use CACs as a means of support or as a recommended resource for staff members who need additional technical assistance or who may not be meeting compliance measures. If a Supervisor chooses to recommend a CAC to a staff member, then it should be noted on the most recent supervision log and the leader of that clinic should be notified by the supervisor who made the recommendation.
