Course Description
Students explore innovative engineering solutions for sustaining life and the future energy requirements on Earth using the engineering design process and UN sustainability goals. Students collaborate with engineering industries to carry out real world problem-solving tasks that include:
• Redesigning wind turbine blades based on biomimicry to improve efficiency
• Coding robotic rovers for rescue and recovery missions
• Carry out plant growth experiments for replication on the ISS space station to improve the health and wellbeing of astronauts
• Design digitally controlled solutions for endangered Victorian animals.
