Course Description
Year 9 Mathematics builds on students understanding of mathematics from Year 8 with a more detailed focus on algebra through the lens of Indices, Linear Equations, Linear Graphs and Quadratic Graphs. Students will be introduced to the CAS calculator and use it to solve problems and to create and analyse graphs in suitable topics. Students will also experience investigations and build on their critical thinking skills. Students will be expected to have a copy of the prescribed textbook, a CAS calculator, and a scientific calculator.
