In Year 9, Humanities consists of a broad range of disciplines, including Civics and Citizenship, Economics and Business, Geography and History. Through development of critical thinking, communication and analytical skills, students explore how they can become active, ethical, and informed citizens in a global world. By the end of the course, students will have studied diverse cultural, social, political, and ethical issues and perspectives, and understand how these have influenced history and continue to shape our world today. Students explore concepts of democracy, human rights, and social justice, developing a deeper understanding of their rights and responsibilities as global citizens.
