Year 9 Course Information

Students all study the following six core subjects:

• English

• Maths (students elect to study Mainstream unless endorsed for Foundation Maths or Advanced Maths)

• Science

• Humanities

• Health

• Optima 

Students may choose six electives, three in each semester. There are some restrictions on electives:

• If students are continuing their language (French or Japanese), they must choose Language for two units, one in each semester. 

• One elective must be from the Outdoor or Physical Education offerings

• One elective must be from the Arts offerings 

• One elective must be from the Technology offerings

• No more than three electives can be chosen from one Learning Area
