Year 10 Engineering

Course Description

This subject introduces students to key concepts in mechanical and electrotechnical systems, providing a foundation for VCE Systems Engineering. Students will explore the design process, simple machines, gears, mechanical advantage, coding, electrical circuits, relays, integrated circuits, and electrical calculations. Practical skills in laser cutting, 3D printing, and woodworking will support hands-on learning. Students will apply their knowledge to design and build a functioning mechanical and electrotechnical system.
