Q28) When, Who and How should I send/submit Additional Documents Voluntarily?

A highly debated topic where lawyers and immigration consultants hold the opinion of not sending them! On the contrary, majority of forum members have benefited by sending updated communication proofs, visit photos, valima, rukhsati events (in case of nikkah only cases) and financial receipts. There has not been any case (as per our knowledge) who has been at a disadvantage (i.e case getting jeopardized) by sending the material. At the end of the day : CHOICE IS YOURS.

WHEN: This is totally upto PA or SPR. It’s advisable to submit documents voluntarily when:

a) there has been NO significant progress in your case for some time,

b) you have some evidence which will benefit your spousal sponsorship application,

Note1: It’s best to send it when your file is transferred out of CPC to concerned Visa Office [Outland]. They will be the one making decision on your file.

Note2: Anytime you send communication to IRCC, it’s logged onto your GCMS profile. Therefore, once you have reached AOR1, anytime you send anything to IRCC, it gets logged onto your GCMS Profile which can be accessed by IRCC Visa Officers throughout the world.

WHO: Preferably PA should send it. If SPR is appointed as unpaid representative, then either of them can send it.

HOW: You can either use Webform or Email, preferably Webform (Don’t use both). Refer to ‘Contact IRCC’ section for more information.

Note: GCKey upload will not work in this case, as this option is only enabled when Visa Officer request documents from you.
