Choosing the right application package
The application package includes the instruction guide and all the forms you need to fill out. Use the instruction guide and the document checklist to make sure you don’t miss anything.
Choose the application package for your situation:
CIT 0001 - adult (age 18 or older) [Adults & Minors - Section 3] - If you were born overseas and your parents were canadian born or naturalized canadian before you were born. Also use this form if you think you are Canadian and want to be sure ... or need to replace your citizenship certificate. [GUIDE]
CIT 0002 - adult (age 18 or older) [Adults - Subsection 5(1)] - If you are 18-or-above Canadian PR.
CIT 0003 - parent (or guardian) applying for a child (under age 18) [Minors – Subsection 5(2)] - If you are under 18 Canadian PR and your parents are Canadian or are applying for Canadian Citizen same time as you. [GUIDE]
CIT 0403 - minor (under age 18) without a Canadian parent applying alone [Minors – Subsection 5(1)] - If you are under 18 Canadian PR and your parents are not canadian or are not applying for citizenship same time as you. [GUIDE]
