Henry Thomas Langley, like his illustrious father and uncle (J D Langley (q.v.)), was a committed evangelical, a fine parish clergyman, and a scholarly Bible exponent. He was strong supporter of CMS and also of Ridley College, being one of the members of the reconstituted College Council in 1920. His work as dean of St Paul's at the close of his ministry was noteworthy. He was examining chaplain to the bps of Bendigo and Gippsland from 1911-47, indicating their regard for his ecclesiastical stance and scholarship.
