Forty years ago, one could hardly afford to have a telephone connection or television at home. The radio was available with the rich also found in the cafeterias, hotels and the malls. Film songs were normally broadcasted.
Forty years ago, one could hardly afford to have a telephone connection or television at home. The radio was available with the rich also found in the cafeterias, hotels and the malls. Film songs were normally broadcasted.
One afternoon, during the normal broadcast, there was a sudden breaking news of an appeal “ There is a severe bus accident and the patients are admitted in the High Ground Hospital, Tirunelvely, There is an urgent need of blood donation and please help them with your blood and save their lives .”
One afternoon, during the normal broadcast, there was a sudden breaking news of an appeal “ There is a severe bus accident and the patients are admitted in the High Ground Hospital, Tirunelvely, There is an urgent need of blood donation and please help them with your blood and save their lives .”
Within an hour there was another breaking news “ Please don’t come to the hospital for blood donation because we have got more than enough of blood donors who are flocking entire premises of the Hospital” . Yes, there were hundreds of donors to offer their blood to those injured. The hospital administration and the radio station appreciated all who came forward to help the wounded.

Some of the donors wanted to see the injured. They found all of them were Hindi speaking people from North India. No one among the donors or hospital staff knew how to speak Hindi and none of the patients could speak Tamil or English. But they expressed their gratitude not with words but with their broad smile and signs. Yes, actions speak louder than the words. (From Thenkachi Srinivasan’s Memories in the Radio Station )

It is the inner passion and the kindness which inspired all those who were listening to the radio songs move to action for those unknown people who were in danger. But, our Lord , who has known us and formed us in our mother’s womb. He had known us even before we were born (Isaiah 46: 3) and who has given His precious blood out of his loving kindness and tender mercies.

Around sixty people were saved because the donors rushed to the hospital in the right time. But in the Bible, we understand that the Father had sent the Son at the fullness of time or we can say before the mankind was fully perished in sins, Our Lord sent Jesus Christ who gave out all His precious blood for our redemption.

Medical people can tell us, how every drop of blood is crucial for our life. Many deaths occur during the accidents because of severe blood loss and lack of help at the right moment. However, in the right time, Jesus died for us so that all of us can have the access to the eternal salvation from the damnation of the world.

Every morning reminds of the Lord’s grace and His passion for the humanity. Even if there is a moment of oxygen failure then no creature can live on earth. If the water vanishes the whole world will become the lifeless desert.

It is the Lord’s perfect mercy that we receive health and power. It is our duty to thank the Lord from the depths of our heart for all He has done for us.

Loving Heavenly Father, We thank you for your grace and compassion with that we have the life in the world. We thank you for your Holy Son who gave His blood so that we can have have eternal life. Help us to have the same attitude that of Jesus to help our friends, neighbors and even the enemies. We once again pray for the pandemic that is spreading day by day and we pray that be merciful upon the world and ;put an end to this fatal disease. In the Name of Jesus we pray. Amen.
