Greetings to you from Church of Christ the King, Libya. We know that we are still under the lockdown and despite the fact some companies start functioning with partial shifts many others are still suffering with less finance to rebooting the entity. May the Lord help the whole world to come back to normality and it should be prime request in our prayers.
The focus of today's version is on FAITH as all three readings above have suggested the same topic. This is the continuation of the message on Faith that was discussed yesterday. .... When Alexander started from Macedonia with his troops towards the east, just at the age of 17, many of his senior advisers told him to reconsider his plan because he did not have any experience and he was still young to encounter powerful kingdoms of the east. But he replied " I believe in the words of my teacher who has already equipped me up with victory to overcome the world". He had such strong faith in the words of a talented mentor Aristotle and he achieved that.
When the Lord Almighty promised Abraham of the the future blessing with a son, he believed in God and that was counted righteous. That's the reason Abraham is called the "Friend of God" (2 Chronicles 20:6) In the gospel, we have read of two different miracles of Lord Jesus Christ and the common thing was twelve years. The lady with the severe health issues was suffering for twelve years and the little girl was seriously ill and died at the age of twelve. At one side there's an act of deliverance from Jesus on the other side there was a sad news of death of the girl. When all hope was vanished and Jairus was about to return to make arrangements for his daughter 's funerals there came a message of hope and life from Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus answered him, "Do not fear, only believe, and she will be well ". He believed it rather Jesus was strengthening his faith and the little girl was alive within a short time when Jesus entered into his house. As long as the Lord was away, there was wailing and lamenting but when Jesus came in there was Joy and jubilant, there was light and life.
